Urban Outfitters Kimchi Blue Ruffle Print 3/4 Sleeve Dress – XSBakers Tate OTK Boots – 5Gap Belt – XS (similar here)The Limited Hammered Metal NecklaceBetsey Johnson Bracelet, Silvertone BangleForever 21 Pave Bow Ring
- I never shopped at Urban Outfitters. I simply didn’t think UO fit my style nor catered to petite frames. It was only after the seeing the Kimchi Peplum Jacket on all petite fashion bloggers this past summer that I finally decided to give the store another whirl. Now, it’s in my top 5 list of stores that I visit!
- I never wore prints. I usually stuck to solid colors as I felt like prints were obnoxious and troublesome to pair with. Then everything changed once I saw What I Wore’s outfit. Can you say adorable?!
- I never wore floral anything. It was only after seeing Kendi’s beautiful outfit that I was convinced a floral print could actually look chic instead of matronly.
- I never would belt a dress if a belt wasn’t provided with the dress. I pretty much wore the dress as it was sold to me right off the rack. If the dress was too baggy in the waist, it simply went back on the rack. Now, I’ve learned the wonders of adding a waist belt to cinch in extra fabric and make baggy dresses actually accentuate your figure instead of disguise it. I also certainly wouldn’t use a belt that I had reserved for my jeans as a waist belt. After seeing The Chloe Conspiracy employ such a tactic, I knew I had a world of new possibilities open to me.
Blogging has truly allowed me to expand my preconceived notions of what I could do with my existing closet! I find much more inspiration in clothing now whenever I go shopping, and although my wallet may be hurting a bit, my creativity has never been so happy.
This 30 for 30 remix couldn’t have come at a better time and I’m so excited to get the ball rolling!

You did good with the challenge already so I can't wait to see what you come up with in the upcoming days. Prints/patterns are out of my comfort zone as well. I find that certain prints do not look good on me at all esp. floral prints.
Blogging has improved the way I dress tremendously. I couldn't care less about fitting and quality in the past but I am a new and conscious buyer now.

It is kind of funny to think about how differently I dressed before I started blogging. I'm glad that other people think about this also.
These boots are phenomenal, I love them.

You look great in prints + floral. Such a pretty dress to kick off this challenge.
All 4 things you listed sounds like it could have been written by me! Fashion blogging has definitely made me try harder in remixing items in my closet. Instead of lazying around in the mornings and grabbing the first things I see, I try not to wear the same exact outfit twice.

Awww, you just listed all my hang-ups! My corner of the world doesn't have an Urban Outfitters, but I don't wear prints or floral patterns and I never belt a dress unless the belt is provided with it….
I only just discovered that fashion blogs exist last week, though, and a whole world of ways to dress has suddenly opened up to me. 🙂
Love your outfit there, too. 🙂

I love how you put this together Kileen! I totally know what you mean about being inspired by blogs… ever since I started blogging I have been more brave and daring with what I wear. I'm glad it's influenced you because this outfit is so lovely! The dress is gorgeous on you and the belt is just right for it. Your looks are always the perfect mix of sweet and stylish 🙂
Happy Monday!

I love how you belted this patterned dress. Yeah, UO pretty much caters to small girls… except for their denim, which is too long for my legs and I'm 5'6 and pretty leggy. A lot of their stuff fits best on a petite frame!

Adorable! I look forward to reading the rest of your posts under this challenge. I enjoyed reading your "nevers" and yes, yes blogging has definitely pushed me out of my fashion comfort zone. It's the influence of all the awesome ladies out there, plus suggestions/feedback/constructive criticism from readers!

Oh my goodness..I was totally going to get this dress the day before the challenge started, but I was in a funk for some reason and decided I was too lazy to deal with all of the buttons so I didn't buy it. Totally totally regretting that decision now, cause you look fab.
