- Hot Pot: Think Chinese fondue. It’s a big steaming pot of broth filled with tasty treats like thinly sliced meats, seafood fish balls, and fresh bok choy. This is the perfect meal when the weather’s cold outside as it warms up inside and out! (read this article if you’re unfamiliar with hot pot)
- Christmas Decorations: There’s no cheaper form of entertainment than driving through a neighborhood and admiring people’s handiwork with Christmas lights. Every year, people out-perform themselves and I never cease to be impressed.
- Warm Fire + Hot Chocolate = Perfect Night In: There’s something about having a fire that instantly makes you feel all warm and cozy. Make yourself some hot chocolate, snuggle under a blankie, and you have yourself the perfect setup for a great night in.
- Black Friday: I look forward to hitting the stores bright and early every year for this one. I’ve done the midnight madness at the outlet malls, to the 5am shopping at my local mall. The deals are unbelievable. I think this year I’ll be hitting up the outlets again. Even though I’m on a shopping ban for myself, I still have to do some Christmas shopping for my family and friends! Let’s hope it’s not freezing cold and raining again!
- Friends + Family: This is what it’s all about — having everyone get together and just enjoy each other’s company. I can’t wait. ^_^
What do you guys look forward to this time of year?

This is easily my FAVORITE outfit yet. Good stuff! http://idontwearjeans.blogspot.com/
Cute outfit! love the sequin flower on your tee.
I love hot pot too! nothing better than hot food to warm me up. 🙂
Love this outfit, simple and chic!
Aww love your positive outlook on the change in weather. As much as Canadians always complain about the weather I have to admit I love seeing the snow (if I don't have to drive into work!) and snuggling up at home with a hot chocolate and a movie!
Love your shoes, nice outfit <3
OMG I looove Chinese hot pot! It's so yummy! Especially with bean thread noodles thrown in at the end 😀
I like your high waisted pencil skirt! Perfect for tucking a shirt into!
@s omg, i can't believe i forgot to mention the bean thread noodles!! they're so flavorful when you add them at the end and they have all the juicy flavors of the pot. i'm getting hungry already. 🙂
that pencil skirt fits you really well. i love hot pot too! shabu is similar and i go at least twice a month! i'm totally addicted.
I LOVE this time of year for everything you mentioned above. Just swap Hot Pot for Crock Pot for me (as I've never enjoyed the Hot Pot before, but love to make EVERYTHING in the Crock Pot during the cool months). I adore shopping for friends and family, seeing decorations around town, and especially spending time with loved ones.
Also, you look super hot and I love the laid back look of your tee, but how you dressed it up with the gorgeous heels!
I love this outfit. The t-shirt with the dressy skirt and shoes are a great combination.
Ramblings of a Small Town Girl
The skirt looks great on you, would look good with a ruffle top too 😉 I'm also looking forward to Thanksgiving hotpot with the family, it's like our tradition 😀
Cute outfit, love your blog! =)

very sophisticato! love the pencil skirt! 🙂
I love this outfit! I think this is my favorite one out of all of yours so far! It's casual yet put together.
I love the feeling of everything during the holidays, it seems like everyone's nicer and everything just seems more magical.
Kileen! Thanks for visiting my blog – Sophia from Kechiko introduce me to your blog & I LOVE IT. I can't believe you're in Texas too (whereabouts in Dallas? I'm a former H-towner turned D-towner myself)
You look so hot in the skirt with the sky-high heels! 😀
And YES, I love Chinese hotpot! I remember my parents used to have it at home all the time with beef balls, shrimp and all these different sauces…mmmm!
Your hair is gorgeous! And I love how your T-shirt lends a softer, more casual touch to your otherwise formal outfit. Also, your shoes make me wish I could somehow shrink my enormous feet to a size 5 1/2.
Mmmmm…hotpot. Stop making me hungry! Your list is spot on, except I'd also add the radio stations that only play holiday music.
Loving your shoes! I am so jealous of your shoe size. I'd be happy if I could shrink my size 7 feet to a 6.
Just Better Together
Those peep toe black pumps look gorgeous. I love the tall platform and the cut of the heel :]
Such simple items and a basic color palette can produce such a lovely, sophisticated ensemble. This is a perfect example.
The skirt looks fantastic on you and you look beautiful with you hair up in a BUN! GORGEOUS!!!
