Thank you to Organic Doctor for sponsoring today’s post.
I’m obsessed with skincare and have always believed that your skin can be the biggest feature that can either hurt or help your case when it comes to your age. Makeup can do wonders but I’ve always believed that the first priority should be having great skin to begin with. When I first became pregnant, I started paying attention to all the products I was using on my skin and noticed first thing that many of them were laden with ingredients that I couldn’t pronounce and had no idea what they did. Unfortunately when I did want to switch to more natural and organic products, I found it to be harder than I thought. Products were not easily accessible and it required a lot of research beforehand on my part!
When I stopped into CVS a couple weeks ago, I was particularly excited when I saw the line of Organic Doctor products on an endcap display. They’re a line that has had a long-standing (and award-winning!) history in the United Kingdom but only recently has been brought over to the United States. I’ve been trying out several products from Organic Doctor line for the past few weeks and have been loving the results! Today I wanted to share with you my top 5 reasons why you need to switch to using organic skincare!

Better For You
Organic skincare goes hand-in-hand with a healthy lifestyle and it’s always been something that I’ve strived to achieve. So many products contain synthetic ingredients such a parabens, phthalates, and sulfates that have been linked to neurological disorders and reproductive issues. It’s crazy to think about how much the skin absorbs and how the substances that are applied topically ultimately these end up inside of the body.
With organic skincare, the ingredients are derived from plants and naturally-occurring elements. Organic Doctor products are made with a minimum of 70% organic ingredients and they really focus on finding the finest organic materials from around the world. Because organic ingredients are grown without pesticides or synthetic fertilizers, the integrity of the ingredients is maintained. It makes sense that feeding my skin high-quality ingredients goes hand-in-hand with feeding my body high-quality foods!
Nutrient Rich
Organic skincare products are packed with ingredients that boost your health! Organic Doctor has 8 different collections, each highlighting a different ingredient that benefit the skin and body. These include Manuka Honey, Aloe Vera, Moroccan Argan Oil, Rose Otto Essential Oil, Virgin Coconut Oil, Snail Gel, Tea Tree Oil, and Virgin Olive Oil. Some of these ingredients I was already familiar with such as Manuka Honey (amazing for its healing properties and ability to sooth skin issues) and coconut oil (super moisturizing and nourishing to the skin) but others such as Rose Otto Essential Oil and Snail Gel were new to me. Turns out rose otto essential oil is known for its skin toning and healthy-aging properties while snail gel takes advantage of the actual secretion from snails used to regenerate its shell to help hydrate and moisturize maturing skin.
Organic Doctor Snail Gel Cream
I was definitely curious to try the snail gel cream and was pleasantly surprised that it wasn’t goopy like other gels I’ve tried or have any sort of funky scent. I have dry skin and found the moisturizer to be super hydrating without feeling oily. It is on the thicker side so I would recommend going with a light application at first. I did use the cream on the patches where I tend to get eczema and was happy to see my skin smoothing out in those areas! The cream is supposed to help with the anti-aging as well although I think it’s still too early to tell a difference with my wrinkles (but here’s hoping!).
Organic Doctor Coconut Oil Hydrating Radiance Elixir
I’m also a big nut for coconuts as I just love the smell and have seen great results with using coconut oil as an eye makeup remover as well as in my hair as a deep conditioner. I was eager to try the Organic Doctor Coconut Oil Elixir as it targets 2 of my main concerns: hydration and radiance. The serum was quick to absorb and didn’t have any of the greasy feeling I was expecting with coconut oil. I’ve been scared to use coconut oil in the past on my skin as I didn’t want my pores to be clogged, but I didn’t have any issues with this serum. I did find that I had a subtle soft glow to my skin in the mornings after applying this at night!
Organic Doctor Rose Otto Skin Lotion
Safe For The Whole Family
My kids are always watching what I’m doing and love being included whenever possible! I love that these organic skincare products are safe enough for my littles to use as well and I don’t need to worry about harmful chemicals or other irritants being applied to their skin. Mei has been LOVING the Organic Doctor Rose Otto Skin Lotion in particular and always asks to put it on whenever she sees me applying it! The rose smell is a little strong at first but it mellows out pretty quickly. Plus, I love that the rose otto helps increase skin permeability so it can better absorb the other ingredients in the lotion. A little bit goes a long way and absorbs quickly without that greasy feel!
Value
While organic skincare products are probably more expensive than the typical mass-produced drugstore brand, they are significantly more bang for your buck given the fact that only natural ingredients are used. Most skincare products have water as the primary ingredient, but with Organic Doctor, organic aloe vera is used as the lead ingredient whenever possible — you’re getting so much more benefits to your skin this way!
Better for the Environment
It’s also a great feeling to know that buying organic skincare is a better option for the environment. Synthetic fertilizers and chemicals take a big toll on our water and soil, all of which eventually end up back in our food stream. Ultimately it’s a win-win when going organic — treat your skin / body better and support the environment!
Organic Doctor products are easily available at CVS and Amazon — be sure to try it out and let me know what you think!

Completely agree with you babe, it’s so important to use organic and natural makeup for your skin! These days so many products have harmful chemicals in them, so I always make sure to buy products that are paraben-free, sulphate-free and are made of organic ingredients! Thanks for sharing this line, I’ll have to check it out 🙂

I always prefer organic skincare products, they may be a little expensive than the standard ones, but their benefits will definitely bring more value in the long run. Nice photos by the way. 🙂
