There hasn’t been a floral print that I don’t love, but I’ll admit that this long floral blazer was a bit tricky to style. For me, I usually choose blazers and jackets that end at the hip as the shrunken cut flatters petite proportions better. This blazer, on the other hand, extends well past my hips and reaches almost mid-thigh before coming to an end! Add on the bold print and the strong shoulder pads and any outfit could’ve easily looked like a remix of something from the 80s! To make the blazer look chic instead of dated, I styled it with a classic pencil skirt and blouse combination and treated the blazer almost as if it were a simple coat topper.
^^^ Of the different ways I’ve worn this blazer in the past, this might be one of my favorites. What do you think?
And last but not least, it’s Color Brigade Link-Up Day! I have Krystin from Girl in Betsey co-hosting with me today. Writing from Vancouver, BC, her blog offers trend topics, outfit posts, and lifestyle pieces. I love her Canadian perspective and this girl knows how to style a pair of boyfriend jeans!
