If you want to know a secret, maxi dresses are my go-to outfit of choice whenever I’m feeling lazy. They’re a perfect choice for the weekends when I’m busy running errands and taking care of the kids that I just need something simple to throw on and go! I have a soft spot for pretty prints and fell in love with the beautiful paisley print and vibrant colors of this maxi dress.
It’s not often that you find a maxi dress with sleeves so this one was a great option to have as we’ve been having some windy and unpredictable weather of late! To balance out the longer hemline and full-length sleeves (I have the scrunched up in these photos), this dress has quite the slit that reaches up to nearly mid-thigh. With the flowy skirt design though, the slit isn’t actually much of an issue as most of the time the fabric moves enough to avoid revealing anything underneath. But, to add a bit of visual interest and to keep with the boho feel, I decided to pair some tall lace-up gladiator sandals!
I love the look of gladiator sandals as the lace-up style is great for lengthening the leg while the flat heel style makes them as easy to walk in as flip flops! I love the gold lace-up leather and while the laces do occasionally slip down, I usually find that it I lace them up while my toes are pointed (instead of flexed), it seems to hold them in place longer. I also just picked up this pair of gladiators that has a full-length zipper to avoid slippage issues that I can’t wait to style!

The open back design instantly gives a youthful vibe to this dress and I love that it’s too gaping of an open back to make it difficult to move around. Since I didn’t want to go bra-less, I wore this underneath and can’t recommend them enough for coverage that actually sticks and holds up for hours!
