I realize I’m super late to my own linky party but I have a good reason! If you’re viewing this site on a browser, you’ll notice that I redesigned my website! I couldn’t be happier with how it turned out! For any other bloggers out there, I finally took the leap and moved from using Google’s Blogger host my site to having everything now run on a self-hosted WordPress domain. I had been told countless times for years now that I needed to make this switch but it wasn’t until recently that I really started feeling like I had pushed the limits of Blogger. And so for the last two weeks I’ve been working with Pauline of Twelve Skip to help move everything over! The big changes are in place and you’ll notice a new theme, layout, and hopefully better look and feel! My Pauline of Twelve Skip to help move everything over! The big changes are in place and you’ll notice a new theme, layout, and hopefully better look and feel! My newsletter has also gotten a major facelift and I’ll be pushing out exclusive content there soon including a blogging FAQ post and a how to do self-photography post that are in the works — I’d love if you subscribed! I’m still working to fix a few issues here and there so excuse the dust as we clean things up. In the meantime, I hope you’ll poke around and let me know what you think of the new site — I’d love to hear your feedback and/or any other questions you may have about the technical side of blogging.
As for this look, it’s a simple outfit I wore to a couple weeks ago and I just loved how the pop of red from the bandana turned this basic outfit into something that looks pulled together and styled. Neck scarves have been a big trend this spring and you may remember my previous outfit with a silk scarf for a dressier look. Since I wanted that casual, laid-back vibe, this bandana was the perfect pick — and it’s only $6!
The bandana here couldn’t be easier to tie! I actually really like Jean’s tutorial on how to fold a square scarf into an oblong scarf. Once complete, I then wrap the scarf around once on my neck before tying the loose ends together in a simple knot.
