Adrian and I spent a weekend in Austin at the Wanderlust Yoga Festival and had an absolutely incredible time taking in different yoga teachings and connecting with other like-minded yogis. While we certainly soaked up every good minute of the festival, part of us couldn’t keep from thinking about our little man that we left at home. My parents watched over Dylan while we were away and Adrian and I would hunch over my phone in between yoga sessions looking at the picture updates they would send. We couldn’t wait to scoop him up and smother him with hugs and kisses the instant we came home!
The weather was beautiful this weekend with the leaves finally turning a few shades of yellow and orange. We took Dylan out to the park to wander around and explore to his heart’s content. I was trapped in yoga clothes all weekend so I wanted to wear something light and feminine (ignoring the fact that it certainly wasn’t practical park attire). These pictures were taken late in the day and I think we all look just a little rough — I had taken a shower and slept on my wet hair in the car ride back to Dallas so it was all crinkly, Dylan was spacing out and probably getting a little hungry as it was getting close to dinner time, and even Adrian left the house wearing his yoga pants (which never happens!). Nonetheless, I love these pictures for the very reason that they show that ‘real’ side of our little family.
