It’s been a week, hasn’t it? Coronavirus has thrown us all through quite the loop as we’ve had schedules change, trips cancel, and are all practicing #socialdistancing as we stay at home the next few weeks. I’ve also been prioritizing my health the last week; and top on that list was making sure I was getting better sleep. While my commitment to 8 hours of sleep every night did mean that I wasn’t able to get blog posts up as regularly here as I would have liked, I do have to say that I love waking up feeling full of energy and ready to go!
I’m currently hoping to get more of my blog work done on the weekends and am figuring out a better schedule for myself, but in the meantime I wanted to share 5 of my tried-and-true beauty sleep products that I’ve been loving when it comes to maximizing the sleep I get each night!
5 Best Beauty Sleep Products
1. Moisturize Dry Patches
‘Miso Sleepy’ Pajama Set (wearing S)
Aquaphor Healing Ointment
Before I snuggle under the covers for the evening, I make sure to use a good body moisturizer and focus especially on any dry patches that I may have. I have quite the stash of both Aquaphor and CeraVe by my nightstand, and highly recommend these products if you have dry skin (winter time can be especially rough!). My dermatologist has actually recommended these to me and it’s crazy how these products literally make a difference in your skin overnight!
2. Prevent Pillow Wrinkles
Slip Silk Pillowcase – 25% off w/ KILEEN
Amazon Microfiber Duvet Cover
Amazon Bamboo Bed Sheets
If you haven’t switched to a silk pillow case yet, what are you waiting for?? Seriously one of the easiest swaps when it comes to taking care of your skin. If you’ve ever woken up with sleep wrinkles from your pillow case, then you definitely need this product. Sure, these wrinkles disappear in no time when you’re in your 20s, but I can speak from experience that they take a lot longer as you get older! Plus, I just love the cool smooth feel of these pillow cases when I’m trying to fall asleep and bonus that it’s helping prevent wrinkles too.
And since I’ve had a few questions on my favorite bedding and duvet cover, I’ve also linked them for you — they’re bestsellers on Amazon with a ton of amazing reviews! You’ll notice that the bed sheets are made of bamboo which I’ve learned are naturally antimicrobial, moisture absorbing, and also softer than cotton or linen. Best part is that they’re also sustainable, plus stay cool in summer and keep warm in winter. Highly recommend!
3. Block Out Harmful Light
Slip Silk Eye Mask – 25% off w/ KILEEN
Pajamas: old (similar, similar, similar – love the bunnies!!)
It took me a few nights to get used to falling asleep with a sleep mask, but I’ve actually found that I do sleep so much better when I have one on! Countless sleep studies have shown that these stylish sleep accessories double as sleep aids by keeping light away from your eyes and letting your body’s melatonin regulate as intended. I love these silk eye masks from Slip as they’re lightweight, breathable, and of course, silky smooth!
4. Keep Hair Tangle-Free
Slip Hair Turban – 25% off w/ KILEEN
Eye Makeup: Urban Decay On the Run palette in Highway Queen
Target Kimono Robe (similar)
Target Project62 Mirror
I have super fine, thin hair so I’m always looking for things that can help prevent any sort of damage. My hair stylist (I go to Rachel Samardjian — love her!!) actually recommended this product to me as she noticed that I was having breakage around the back of my head where I rested while sleeping. I tried alternative solutions such as braiding my hair before bed but ended up having much better luck when I switched to use this hair turban instead! It may not be the sexiest accessory for sleep, but let me just say that it will save your hair! Not only have I noticed stronger hair, but it’ll even help preserve my curls overnight whenever I’ve styled my hair that day (I also recommend smoothing this overnight magic serum on your hair first too!).
5. Hydrate + Renew With A Sleeping Mask
Neutrogena Hydro Boost Sheet Mask
Skinceuticals Biocellulose Restorative Masque
SK-II Whitening Revival Mask
Fresh Rose Deep Hydration Sleeping Mask
Fresh Firming Overnight Mask
similar mirror tray
I love a good sheet mask and have several favorites that I rotate through on a regular basis. My current favorite is the Biocellulose Restorative Masque from Skinceuticals — I legit fall asleep with this mask on as it’s not goopy, stays put, and I just wake up to the softest skin! A close favorite are the sheet masks from SK-II as both the original and the whitening ones are really good if you’re looking for glowing skin. And while Skinceuticals and SK-II are well worth the price, the Neutrogena Hydra Boost is a drugstore fave that also really delivers if you have dry skin that needs extra moisture (I pack these whenever I’m traveling and need a post flight pick-me-up!).
Skinceuticals Biocellulose Restorative Masque
Slip Hair Turban – 25% off w/ KILEEN
Slip Silk Eye Mask – 25% off w/ KILEEN
Slip Silk Pillowcase – 25% off w/ KILEEN
And lastly, I have a coupon code for 25% off at Skinstore.com — use code KILEEN! Use in conjunction with the Skinstore anniversary sale promotion code 23SALE and get extra savings on your favorite products!

I definitely have not been sleeping great since everything changed last week with all the new COVID-19 updates, but last night I finally went to bed around 10 (so I could get 8 hours) and I felt like a completely different human today. I definitely want to try out an eye mask for sleeping. I have one, but I haven’t ever used it.
