Hi there! I finally wrapped up my last day of jury duty yesterday (went through over 6 hours of deliberations!) and now that it’s all done, I can honestly say that I really enjoyed being a juror and found the case really interesting. It was an asbestos case which resulted in an employee’s death and even though I had an opinion on the matter at the outset, it was interesting to have to end up making a decision only on the evidence (or lack of evidence given this happened over 50 years ago) that was available. I wasn’t expecting to have to decide monetary compensation either but I’m pretty happy with what we ended up deciding when it was all over. I felt like I was in high school mock trial club again!
Anyways, now that I’m going back to work today, I wanted to share this fun look that I wore a couple weekends ago. It’s no secret that it’s all about the sleeve details this season and I kinda love this exaggerated bell sleeve. It’s such a fun bell sleeve top to have swing as you walk and the light chiffon fabric gives it a light airy feel. I paired it with my favorite pleated skirt of the moment (you might remember it from this post!) to build on the swingy movement and I just love how it all came together! This skirt is currently 40% off right now and such a steal at only $35! I’ve rounded up a few more similar navy bell sleeve top options (some with not so big bells if you prefer something less dramatic — this lace top is so pretty!) and pleated skirt options below:

You look like a Disney princess in this outfit! So gorgeous! I love that color on you! I think being a juror would be exciting; I’ve never been a juror.
That top is gorgeous! I love the colour and the sleeves. And that skirt is stunning as well.
such a beautiful outfit! I don’t know how you do it! I am a first time mom and barely have time to put jeans and a t shirt on! thanks for the inspiration to not slack off 😉
oh trust me, I definitely have days where I’m in my sweats all day especially when I was first grappling with motherhood and trying to figure it out. I’ve realized since then though that it makes a big difference to put some effort in how I get dressed and it sets the tone for the day. It goes a long way to making me feel more like myself too! feel free to ask any other mom questions you may have too and i’m so glad you stopped by!
xx,

I love this outfit on you!! You have such a way of making all of your outfits look so perfect! I love the blue color with the neutrals and that skirt is so fun!

I’m so glad I found this site. I always put my foot in it when buying presents (especially clothes) for the wife. I used to think I had good taste in women’s clothes, but my wife’s responses to my recent gifts say otherwise. Anyway, I’m getting lots of great ideas from your blog! Keep up the great work!
These are swoon-worthy sleeves! Great color combination too! I’m going to have to remember that!

I too love a big bell sleeve. That blouse is gorgeous and so is the nude blush pleated midi skirt. Navy and blush look gorgeous together and those earrings are perfect for this outfit, Kileen. =)
