Today’s post is going to be a little different. In honor of the upcoming Father’s Day holiday, I wanted to take a little walk down memory lane. Adrian and I have known each other since college freshman year of college and this year marks 10 years that we’ve officially been together (so crazy to realize that it’s been that long!). It’s been an amazing journey seeing him go from being my best friend, to my husband, and now as the father of our two little kiddos. And so, today I just wanted to dedicate this space to this guy who has been with me through it all!

Best Friend

Adrian and I met during his freshman year of college (I was a sophomore) as we both lived in the same dorm and ended up studying the same major. From the very beginning, his sense of humor and ability to get a laugh out of anyone always spending time with him so much fun. And although we didn’t start dating until after we both graduated, through college we were running buddies, studying partners, and even worked under the same professor in our graduate studies. College was a time when we both changed so much but through it all we had been there for each other. This picture above was from one of our first trips together — we look like such babies!

Husband

My wedding day is still one of the best days of my life. As a husband, I’m so lucky to have Adrian by my side every day. He’ll listen to my crazy ideas, let me vent whenever I’ve had one of those days, and always give me his honest opinion whenever I need it. There is truly no better better feeling than being with someone who understands you.

Father

The last 3 years I’ve had the incredible experience of seeing Adrian become a father. Being a parent certainly isn’t easy and seeing him love on our precious babies has only made my love for him even deeper. He has supported my decision to be a stay-at-home mom and I cannot thank him enough for allowing me this unique opportunity to spend my days watching my children grow up. And, even with his busy work schedule, Adrian has always made time for his family. Balancing work and life is one of the hardest challenges, yet he has managed to do it all.

For this Father’s Day, I wanted to give Adrian a gift to celebrate him being the anchor in our lives.
