Work is pretty busy for me this week and while I work in a very casual office environment, I wanted to dress it up a bit while still keeping it fun and lighthearted. I can always count on a pencil skirt for adding a bit of polish to an outfit and the J.Crew ones are hands-down my favorites. If there’s one staple that you need in your closet that’s an essential for work, it’s the J.Crew No. 2 pencil skirt. The classic is the double-serge wool option that is perfect for when it’s cooler, but for the summertime I love the lighter bi-stretch cotton option. I’m not exaggerating when I say that I own the No. 2 pencil skirt in 5 different colors! This particular skirt is from their Super 120s design and while it does run a bit slimmer than the No. 2 pencil skirt design, I just couldn’t say no to the pretty pink color! I’ve rounded up a few of my favorite pencil skirts below (including this pinstripe one that I have my eye on!):
Meanwhile I stopped in in Target a couple weeks ago and fell in love with the Who What Wear collection! Maybe I’ve just been living under a rock, but I hadn’t heard about the collection launch and there were just so many cute pieces including this black floral shell. The top is sheer so layering over a cami or tank is necessary (I’m wearing a super old cami and actually just bought this one!) but the combination of black and pink is classy and feminine. This print even comes in a bomber jacket and two dress styles (here and here) that I’m loving. For a few other items that I also picked up from the Target Who What Wear collection, be sure to check out the widget (the black cape blazer is amazing and I also picked up the pink lace top)
How fun are these latest pumps from Pour La Victoire? I’ve long been a fan of the brand as they have some of the most sexy styles and their shoes are among the most comfortable I’ve ever worn. I just love the puff detail on these pumps and the soft lavender suede color is so feminine and chic! Pour La Victoire also just kicked off their Labor Day sales early and the entire site is 30% off (code LABORDAY16)
