You guys, the weather was absolutely perfect today! We’re finally hitting that point in the year where for 2 weeks it’ll actually be nice to spend time outside and I cannot wait. Dylan has had the last 4 days off from school and while I initially worried about how we’d pass the time, it’s actually been a breeze and we’ve had so much fun just hanging out around the house and our neighborhood (he’s enraptured by the construction happening next door). I’m constantly reminded of just how lucky I am that I get to spend my days with my little man.
Meanwhile, I’m only just now jumping onto the hat trend, but I have to say I love it! Not only is it such an easy way to add that finishing touch to a simple look when I’m rushing out the door, but it helps me get away with those bad hair days too. If you follow my Instagram, you probably know that I went a little hat crazy last weekend and picked up 3 new ones to complete my fall / winter wardrobe:
I noticed this white slouchy beanie at Target and loved the casual yet chic look. I waffled on purchasing it as I have actually had my sights set on getting a fedora and wanted to save my money…but at $10, it was hard to pass up! Fast forward a couple days and I ended up stopping into my local Nordstrom and found the perfect wool fedora and for only $39 (so similar to a pricier Rag & Bone one I was coveting!). And as for this floppy hat, it gives off such a different boho vibe to the more tailored fedora that I ended up justifying it too somehow… And so now I need to figure out some sort of hat storage solution for my closet. 🙂

Love the hat and over the knee boots. So stylish! I keep thinking about jumping into the hat trend but I can't figure out when to wear them?? I can't wear it to work and am unsure if people wear them inside during the weekend.

I see lots of people here wearing these kinds of hats indoors actually whenever I'm out running errands. I think with this type of hat it's ok to keep it in insure. 🙂
Thank you!
Good to know! What would I do without my fellow bloggers? 🙂
Thank you,

Love hats so much and this look is ADORABLE on you! Unfortunately, I can't pull off hats as much as I'd like to because of my afro hair!
Such a lovely dress and it goes so well with the hat and tall boots! So pretty and chic!

In love with this outfit! The dress is so pretty. And those boots!!
I like hats but never feel like they look right on me, and I never know when to wear them. All 3 of yours are so cute on you.
Loving those boots too! I'm not brave enough to wear over the knee boots, at 5ft 3 I just think I look weird in them. Yet you rock them so well…maybe it's all in my head
I think it's all about finding the right pair of otk boots that flatter! It took me 2 years until I found this pair that I love. 🙂
