I wanted to have a blog post that would help show my running clothing and makeup purchases for each month instead of just a recap at the end of the month. I plan on continually update this post with my spending, so be sure to check back periodically and see how I’m doing! I’ve also added a “Budget” tab to my top navigation bar as well as a button on my left sidebar so you can easily see updates to my spending.
CLOTHING:
- Budget: $300
- Remaining clothing budget from February: +$84.67
- YesStyle Chain Purse – $93.00 ($5 coupon thanks to Jean) (buy)
- Urban Outfitters Pins and Needles Basic Straw Floppy Hat (perfect for my Africa honeymoon!) – $25.11 (buy)
- Insolia Insoles – $34.55 (20% coupon code thanks to Tracey) (buy) — review to come!
- A’gaci Chiffon Pleated Skirt (S) – $18.35 (buy)
- A’gaci Skinny Belts – $12.90 (buy)

- Yarn Plus Yarn cowl scarf – (won from giveaway) (buy)
The following items were not purchased by me but were additions to my closet this month:
Current spending: $226.44
BEAUTY:
- Budget: $50
- Remaining makeup budget from February: -196.85
- Shiseido Tsubaki Shining Shampoo – $16.23 (buy)
Current Spending: $213.08
Yes, I’m pretty much in no-spending mode for the rest of the month. So even though this is an in-progress budget report, let’s hope my end-of-month recap isn’t much different!
P.S. All purchases were made using Mr. Rebates where possible. So in actuality I am getting a little bit of money back at the end of all this. 🙂

You're so good at keep tracking your spending. I don't ever keep track of my spending but I don't really spend that much to begin with. My favorite purchase of yours is # 6. I love that watch 🙂
I like seeing people's budgets…makes me adhere to mines even more! I want to stay on track of my spending as well.
Maybe I should be setting budgets and doing budget posts…I have budgets in mind when shopping, but I never follow them! Also, I have absolutely no self control when shopping!
Love the watch, Kileen! I got the MK Chronograph watch in rose gold for my birthday and I love it sooo much! 🙂
I was actually thinking about making similar post on my lunch break today LOL you are still in a budget!! go for it girl!!! I need to update mine I think pretty soon, when it comes to middle of march which will be next week, I'm already over lol

Go Kileen! Thanks for adding the budget tab – I really do love your breakdowns bc it provides a very tangible way of seeing where money goes and how I can reapply 🙂
BTW, I soooo love the skirt from #4!!!
This is such a great idea for a post! I love that watch – that's a great purchase!
I never heard of this Mr Rebate thing. I have to check it out.
P.S.
I love that straw hat and how awesome your having an Africa Honeymoon
Yes, Mr. Rebates is so amazing. Cash back on most of the stores I shop at
online! and they can directly deposit the money into your Paypal account or
cut you a check. can't beat it. 🙂
Mr. Rebates is one of the best thing that's happened to the internet! I use it constantly. Africa honeymoon? Sounds lovely!! Where to? Only place I've visited is Morocco; amazing country.
omstastic
Tanzania actually! We're hoping to catch the Great Migration (
http://www.wildwatch.com/great_migration) the first week and then off to the
beaches of Zanzibar for the last 3 days! so excited!! 😀
This is a great idea to track your purchases! I actually made a list of this year's purchases on my phone so I can peek at it every now and then to convince myself that I don't need new clothes!
can't wait to see your review of the insoles! and good luck with taxes, i haven't even started mine…
