My style has become more modest now that I’m a mom. While I don’t reach for miniskirts much anymore, this particular one in tweed still calls my name everytime the weather turns cold. Besides the fact that it’s sturdy and warm, there’s also something about the rough almost unfinished look of the woollen fabric that gives it a cozy, homespun feel.
We had our first freeze of the season last night and I woke up to a chilly 47 degree morning. Fortunately there wasn’t any wind chill, but I definitely needed tights with this outfit. In the past I’ve had a hard time finding a pair that fit my short legs and had just the right amount of opacity. I finally landed on DKNY’s tights — they have the perfect amount of coverage and I’ve been able to wear them year after year as they’re pretty resistant to snags and runs. Thank goodness the weather is warming back up to the 80s by the weekend. I’m a Texas girl through and through!
