I had an expiring Groupon to check out Texas Discovery Gardens that I needed to use up, so yesterday we took Dylan out to see the butterfly house. Butterflies are released daily inside a large greenhouse and being able to walk while being surrounded by so many fluttering butterfly wings is quite the sensory experience! Dylan was busy pointing left and right at all the different butterflies and I loved being there to share this first-time wonder with him.
Coincidentally, I had the perfect butterfly dress for the occasion! I have a soft spot for lace and love how the butterfly print adds a bit of whimsy to the outfit. For my fellow petites readers, be warned that I did do some alterations to this one-size-fits-all dress (sleeves and sides slimmed). The unique butterfly print and lace overlay justified the alterations; and I can definitely see myself wearing this again for those outdoor summer get-togethers!

Hi Gria! It's so nice to see you back again! I didn't gain a lot of weight (only 21 lbs) during pregnancy but I lost a lot of muscle tone. I'm still about 3-5 lbs above my pre-pregnancy weight and would like to tone up some more — my upper body is a lot softer than I'd like it to be. I do really appreciate your comment (more than you can imagine!) as I'm still self-conscious about my post-pregnancy body and getting my body back has been a very slow (and sometimes frustrating) process.
