I was a bit worried about this striped jacket looking a little too boxy, but I think it’s actually not so bad if styled correctly! The jacket is a soft knit material and I was surprised to discover it being much less structured than even a typical blazer. While it does make the jacket a bit more casual, it also gives it a much more feminine silhouette. I layered it over an untucked pink shirt to create the illusion of a longer torso and threw on some skinny jeans and a statement necklace for an easy, everyday look!
I also wanted to share a diy for those necklaces that are sometimes just a bit too short with a particular outfit. To make a quick necklace extension for those with lobster claw clasp closures, I string together a few safety pins as shown below. I can chain as few or as many as needed to adjust the necklace to the perfect length. It’s a super easy trick and great for those necklaces that just need a few more inches. Given that the back of my necklaces are usually covered by either my hair or tucked under a collared blouse, no one has been the wiser. 🙂

Hey that's a smart idea! 🙂 I've just bought a similar blouse in light pink, so this look here is a nice inspiration how to pair it with a wide striped jacket. Thanks for the inspiration & extension necklace DIY!
Happy Friday!

Thanks and always glad to inspire!
That striped jacket is so nice! 🙂 And great tip for the necklaces too – I get frustrated now and then when the necklace I want to wear doesn't sit nicely with the neckline of what I'm wearing, never thought to try safety pins! 🙂

Love this look on you! Very cute! Hahaha I've done this with my necklaces that have "broke" before, but great trick for lengthening too!

What a great trick for lengthening the necklace! I have a few necklaces that would be cuter as a long pendant. I'm definitely doing this.

The jacket is not boxy at all and is actually quite flattering on you.
