The hot weather finally seemed to break yesterday and it seems like Fall might actually be around the corner here! This time of year is all about football games, crock pot meals, and pumpkin spice everything, but one of our favorite traditions is the Texas State Fair! From foods like fried funnel cake ale to a turkey leg as big as your head, it’s always fun to wander around and check out the petting zoo, ride the ferris wheel, and of course, take a picture with Big Tex!
One of my favorite outfits to wear this time of year is a light dress with cowboy boots. I’ve been embracing my Texas roots more lately and sporting these cowboy boots every chance I get (you may remember these outfits here and here). While it may not be quite cool enough for my tall riding boots yet, cowboy boots are always in season! Ariat’s are my absolute fave as they’re chic as well as comfortable — I can seriously walk all day in these without any problems!

Chambray is something else that I feel like you can wear all season long, especially when it comes to chambray dresses! I love the look of the soft washed denim and this dress has the most beautiful embroidered flowers and ruffle detailing too! I is one size fits all but fit perfectly as a dress on someone my height (I’m 5′ tall). I would say that if you’re 5’4″ or taller, this dress would probably work better as a top but would look so cute paired with white jeans (on sale + I own and love this distressed pair, see on me)!
