Spring is officially here and the weather is finally staying warm (we’re even supposed to get into the 80s this week!). Flowers are blooming everywhere and my absolute favorite sight is seeing the tiny white flowers decking out the trees lining our neighborhood. It seemed only fitting to pull out this pretty maxi dress printed with beautiful pink blossoms to match.
I love the dainty spaghetti strap look and open backless design of this dress, but given that there was still a light breeze, I layered on this pink jacket. The cropped fit is perfect to keep with the proportions of the maxi dress and I just love the soft blush color juxtaposed with the edgy tiered zippers.
Meanwhile, I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! We had family from out of town visiting and it was so much fun to see Dylan entertaining everyone with his silly antics (his language just exploded a few months ago and he’s quite the jokester). Thanks again for stopping by!

That is such a pretty maxi dress, and so nice with the blush pink jacket! 🙂
I finally tracked down a blush pink blazer, so happy! just waiting for cooler weather so I can actually wear it.

Stunning as usual Kileen! I also enjoyed reading your last post on breastfeeding, although I did not comment. I had such a difficult time emotionally with breastfeeding my kids. They latched on fine and there really wasn't ever any real physical problems. I loved the bond, but I hated breastfeeding. It caused me to be unable to lose weight (the opposite from pretty much every other woman on the planet), I felt it was really inhibiting (I have a real fear of breastfeeding in public) and I just wanted my body back! I was in constant turmoil about my milk–was it ok, was it enough, etc. So I didn't breastfeed my kids for very long–my oldest was the longest at six months. I really enjoy hearing others' stories with it. My sister is the complete opposite of me. She loves it. It's interesting how different everyone's stories are isn't it?
The dress is such a stunning piece with such lovely floral prints! You look amazing!

What a beautiful way to dress up a maxi dress!
Hi Robin!
So sorry it's taken me so long to respond to your comment!! I actually have the same problem with losing weight and breastfeeding too! It took me over a year with Dylan to lose the last bit of baby weight as my body just refused to drop any more weight while I had a full supply. It was beyond frustrating! I'm taking it better this time with Kennedy as I know this is just how my body responds to breastfeeding. I'm trying to fit in workouts better this time around as I find that at least that makes me feel better about my body! I do enjoy breastfeeding but it is frustrating when other people are back to their pre-pregnancy weight "just by breastfeeding" and my body just doesn't work like that, lol! Thank you so much for your comment though as I'm glad I'm not alone in this.
Did the pink jacket run small? What size did you wear?
