When I first received this skirt in the mail, it was all sorts of wrinkled and bunched up. I tried it on and the skirt poofed out in all the wrong places — I was left thinking why I had ordered it in the first place! But then I figured I would go ahead and try to wrinkle out the kinks and see what happened. Well, under the heat of the iron, the skirt literally transformed from a short kinky tutu-like thing to a beautiful twirl-inducing pleated skirt that I just couldn’t wait to wear. I tell you, having to iron is evil but it does work wonders sometimes.
I also picked up this cape awhile ago but it’s been hanging unworn in my closet for almost two months as I wasn’t sure how to style it. I’ve always loved the look of capes on others but on me it just seemed a little too… unshapely? Anyways, I decided to finally wear it today and just see if it was just in my head that it looked weird. What do you think?

The cape is gorgeous! It doesn't look weird on you at all.
I really like the bow on your belt, and oh yeah, the iron can work wonders even if it isn't very fun to use!
Love the full skirt, such a great color!
um wow gorgeous look and it fits in perfect with the scenery :o)
So cute and romantic! For a reason I find this look perfect for Valentine's day, am I the only one? The cape is such a great piece, they can be unshapely but they make things actually more interesting too. Whenever I receive a package I get that feeling of oh oh this doesn't look that cute in person, but once is ironed properly it gets back its charm. The skirt is such a twirling dream come true!

I'm so bad about ironing but you're right–it can do wonders! I love the skirt and the cape!
thanks Liz!
thanks Ellen!
Looks gorgeous! However, would look better if pencil skirt was worn with cape and and skirt was worn with more tailored coat or jacket. The cape looks great because of its length; it falls at the right spot for your petite proportions! It will look awesome with your skinny jeans, too. Love the colors together!
oh thank you! great tip. i will have to try with a pencil skirt next time.
Gorgeous, I am obsessed with this classic look. The skirt is such a beautiful shade, and the cape makes it look so chic!
thank you!
