Another hole in my closet I’ve been trying to fill is cobalt blue pants. I’ve long lusted after the J. Brand pair that I’ve seen Wendy wearing in her lookbooks but the price point has always been a bit steep for me. When Jean reviewed her pink ASOS hotpants, I couldn’t help but want to try out the blue pants for myself! The petite sizing meant that the inseam on these pants actually fits me perfectly without any need for alterations. The pants are a little snug on me right now {I wish I was extra petite like Jean}, but I’m hoping that with a couple more wears they’ll stretch out a bit. And while $60 is still steep, the blue is something that I feel comfortable wearing both to the office on our casual days as well as on weekends so I think I’ll get a fair cost per wear out of them. These pants are keepers for me and I couldn’t be more excited to style these more in the future!
For today, I paired the blue with a neutral taupe and white striped top {I figure I’d start simple with neutrals and work my way up to brights, right?}. The sleeveless top is ideal for the 100+ weather we’re still having here in Texas, but for the chilly office A/C, I brought along my trusty white boyfriend blazer. Still summery, but definitely much warmer.

I just started following your blog, I'm a shortie too, you have me beat though. I'm 4'11" stopped growing at age 14, now 33. I absolutely hate shopping for pants, skirts and dresses and those adorable Maxi dresses, forget it! As much as I love the skinny jeans, they were not meant for my booty, lets just say I got hips. I'm also not in as good of shape as I once was, but working on it. I am determined to get my butt in a pair of those things. Those things were not designed for all figures. You are tiny though and they are adorable on you and I love the color. The other thing I like about you is you are showing that you can still be hip after your 20s. I was depressed when I turned 30, because I thought I wouldn't be able to shop at Forever 21 anymore. You have proven that theory wrong. You can still shop at Forever 21 and in Juniors and still look sophisticated and stylish. You just need to find the right pieces. So, thank you for that. I'm very inpsired. Afterall it is called Forever 21 for a reason, right?

Love these pants…they are so pretty…I ordered green skinny jeans from Gap and am (patiently) waiting for them to arrive….we will see how that goes 🙂
Love those pants! This is probably one of my favourite colours to wear, and they look great on you. I'd have gone overboard with colours from the start though hah, it seems with me, bright colours just instantly attract more brightness.
So bright and bold! The pants look to fit great from all angles that I can see. My indecision self says as long as I can still breathe in tight clothing, it's doable 🙂
super cute pants! i love the color. xoxo jillian:: don't miss my fishs eddy dish giveaway!
Yum@ the bag!
I love this top! and the blue jeans are awesome. I've been wanting a pair of colored jeans and I think blue might be perfect! 🙂
I love those pants! I've been trying to work myself up to bright pants and I think blue is the best place to start!
I really love the bright denim trend – and this simple mix is nice, but I can't wait to see you when you take them up to the next level!
You look amazing in those blue pants 🙂
Lovely blue color! Are the pants very tight? I don't know what size I should order, a UK10 or UK12.
These pants are very slim so I would say if you don't want them to be super tight, go up a size.
