Taking outfit picture selfies with Dylan is getting harder these days as he understands how the camera remote works and always wants to be the one taking the picture. I absolutely love his sense of independence and am usually one to encourage it… Only problem is that he’s usually running around and a complete blur when the camera actually snaps the picture! But, now that baby girl is due any day and with Adrian working long hours, I wanted to capture some pictures of just the two of us. I love spending my days with this little guy and he has such a fun, spirited personality and it just seems to become more expressive every day. Part of me is anxious to see what a great big brother he will be but I’m also a bit worried that he’ll struggle with not having as much attention anymore. It’ll be a time of transition for all of us and even though it’ll be hard, I’m definitely excited to see our little family grow!
Cobalt blue is one of my favorite colors and it always seems to add a regal touch to any look. The cropped cut of this coat make it wearable as a blazer while still providing all the warmth of a coat, and I have no doubt it’ll be a great spring transition piece! I’ve also been on the hunt this season for a simple striped turtleneck that I can use for layering, and was excited to see this option pop of on the Forever 21 website — I ended up buying it in both black / white and white / black! I love that the longer torso length is also perfect to wear right now as it covers my bump too!
Happy Friday and hope you all have a great weekend!

Going from one child to two (or more) is always an adjustment but trust me–it will be amazing. Dylan will love being a big brother. He is at a perfectly helpful age! This shoot is so cute! Good for you! Do you have an extra remote? You could give him one that doesn't work and use yours when you want the shot. Or tell him that you both have to do it at the same time. Love the blue on you!
Love cobalt blue with black! It's such a bright and bold colour combination 🙂 You are looking still so stylish so far along! By this stage I was just wearing comfy stretchy maxi skirts haha! Anything would do for sitting bouncing on my exercise ball to help with back pain hehe.
Don't know how you juggle, pregnancy, blog and your adorable little son – you really do manage to do it all! 🙂 Very inspiring you know! 🙂

I do have an extra remote but unfortunately there's no way to turn it off. He doesn't have great aim so half the time he doesn't end up taking the picture but runs around so it's hard to get a non-blurry picture with him… I do hope the transition goes smoothly with the baby and I'm definitely going to have him help as much as possible! Thanks Robin! 🙂
Thanks Mica! It is a big juggling act and it's a big exercise in time management every day! I don't always do very well so my sleep sacrifices as a result. And I'm sitting on my big exercise ball right now. 🙂
Love the crop style of the cobalt blue coat, it is perfect for a chic layering style!
