I found this dress on my last trip to the outlet and had been saving it up for the wedding I attended this weekend in Chicago. I love the mix of blue and black panel colors and of course the unique honeycomb print. I curled my hair for the first time in months but unfortunately I had forgotten hair spray at home so unfortunately the waves didn’t last more than a few hours and were even a bit flat for these outfit pictures (here’s a picture of how the curls started out). It was definitely fun to get all glammed up and spend the evening chatting and dancing with old friends as we soaked in the wedding festivities.
Adrian and I have had an amazing weekend in Chicago. On our last day in the city, we went on an boat tour where we learned about all the different kinds of architecture behind the different buildings surrounding the Chicago River.
We spent the rest of the afternoon before the wedding at Navy Pier, where Adrian actually went on his first Ferris wheel ride!
All in all, this trip was a great mini vacation for us. Weddings are always a way for me and Adrian to reaffirm our own marriage in a way and the getaway from parental responsibility was a nice break. But even after just 2 short days of being away, Adrian and I were more than ready to come home and smother kisses on our baby Dylan.
Hope you had a great weekend and here’s to the start of a great week!
