Spring is officially here!! And what better way to celebrate than to wear some fun florals, right? For those of you that follow my blog, this floral pattern might look familiar in skirt form from a previous post. Unfortunately that skirt made me feel like I had a fupa and I decided it just wasn’t worth alterations. So back to the store it went. Lucky for me though, the same exact print was also in blouse and scarf form! I went to LOFT this past weekend armed with a $15 gift card (it was my Dad’s birthday a few weeks ago and he opened a LOFT card to help my mom and I get discounts!) and walked out totally psyched that I found this floral shell on their clearance rack in my size for only $11.95. Amaze-balls, right?
For my Color Brigade entry this week, I decide to try a more muted but still colorful look. I’ve been going a little loud and bold in my more recent Color Brigade posts, so this week I wanted to swing the pendulum to the other side and go with a soft, feminine combination. Let me know what you guys think! 🙂
You know the drill with Color Brigade! I want to see your colorful outfit combinations!! Link up your looks below.
Note: feel free to link up any outfit you wore in the past week or an
outfit that you’ll be wearing later this week — it doesn’t have to be
something you actually wore today!

You and your sexy heels! 🙂 I love them! I just realize how adorable you are with that bun!! 🙂 As always, your outfits are inspirational to me! One day I will participate in your color brigade 😀
I like it as a top better than as a skirt… And you did just introduce me to that word (fupa) haha!
Oh thank you so much!! That means so much coming from you, Jen!! It's honestly because I have such inspirational people like yourself to look up to!! 🙂
As for the hair, I did record a little tutorial here: http://cutenlittle.wpengine.com/2011/01/tutorial-messy-bun-look-using-goody.html
I was too scared to do alterations and just decided it would be too complicated. The skirt just fit me all funny!
And snow this late in March?! Yikes. I'm so in love with your outfit though!!
Funny, it made me think of sunshine too!! 🙂
lol, just don't teach it to your kids at school!! 🙂 I don't want angry parents coming after me, lol.
Very pretty! I love how you took the mustard color cardi and grey skirt from winter to spring with the beautiful floral top.

Love it! I almost bought the skirt in that print. The top is amazing, though, too! Especially for that price. That is so freakin' sweet of your dad to think of you and your mom on his birthday. It was my dad's birthday last week and I got nothing! 😉
I just love this print so whether it is in a skirt or a shell, I just love seeing it. And these shoes look amazing on you.
