I tried to avoid shopping all weekend while in San Francisco, but on the last day after some brunch with old college friends at Sally’s, Adrian and I found ourselves in the middle of Union Square. And so I ended up shopping. You can’t blame me since we were right there, right? 🙂
After over 3 hours of shopping where we went into H&M, Gap, Forever 21, and Aldo, we were on our say back to the hotel {empty-handed, mind you!} when I suddenly saw a woman carrying a Zara bag. I instantly begged Adrian to let us quickly stop in and take a look-see. I’ve always loved the Zara pieces I’ve seen on San Franciscoan Anh and was hoping that I’d be able to find some snag-worthy pieces. Lo and behold, I found this amazing pink blazer.
Previously Zara had a pink boyfriend blazer available and I’ve loved seeing it on both Tara and Khatu. Sadly even the small looked a little too roomy on me when I tried it on so I had passed. Now, when I saw this more fitted blazer on the rack, my eyes grew wide and tried it on right there in the middle of the sales floor. I was instantly in love with it. The shoulders fit perfectly and the fitted cut is very flattering for a more petite figure. Oh, and don’t forget the orange lining that peeks through when the sleeves are rolled! My almost proud-moment of not spending any money on my shopping trip sadly did not come to fruition, but this blazer is so worth it!
And for those who are curious about Zara online shopping, the online store will “open” on September 7. I did clarify some confusion regarding their shipping, in particular whether they would ship directly to your home {see Cher’s post regarding Zara online shipping}. Turns out that they will ship directly to your home, but shipping is not free. You can choose to have your order shipped to your local Zara store, in which case shipping will be free. I literally breathed a huge sigh of relief.
And finally, on to the Color Brigade! The winner of last week’s feature is Cher of A Fashion Deliberation rocking a fuchsia, blue, and nude combo. Looks like Zara is really scoring lots of hits with the Color Brigade recently!

That Zara jacket was made for the color brigade!!! You look great in all these colors! The necklace and purse go so nicely together!
I love the orange lining on that blazer! Is Zara really going to start selling online? Because the closest Zara store is about 800 miles away from me, and I always want to buy things from them!
Oh, I love that color on you! I've been on the lookout for a pink blazer as well, only I have the opposite problem as you. The arms are never long enough for me! 🙂
I linked up to this weeks color brigade but don't see my photo. I don't want to have it appear twice. Can you tell me if you see it? Thanks! 🙂

I love this color combo! You look too happy to have only gotten 4 hours of sleep 🙂
I've been wanting a few things from Zara, so now I'm contemplating ordering through Suddenlee or wait until Zara online opens. Did you by any chance get an idea of how much shipping would cost through the online store?
I love this look! The colors you chose work really well together!
And the zara blazer is perfection!
oh yes, for sure!! that would make for an amazing combo!
they did not say how much shipping would cost… if Suddenlee shipping isn't too high, i would almost say that you probably don't have anything to lose by ordering through them since the Zara online store isn't opening until September 7.
you are definitely the master of colors, this looks so refreshing and fun! love the fit of that blazer!

You do the color blocking trend so well! You look fantastic in this awesome pink blazer. The best thing is the orange sleeves when you cuffed it.Â
I just recently thrifted a red blazer and am still on the hunt for a pink one!

Great blazer! I wish I didn't feel silly wearing blazers.
i think it gets better the more you wear them. you get more comfortable in them over time. 🙂
LOVE the color scheme of that blazer and pairing it with the blue dress only enhances it! My fave part of the blazer has to be the orange lining. Can't wait for Zara to go online!

Ahh! i was in love with the pink Zara blazer with the pinstripe lining, but now I'm in love with yours. ORANGE. can it not get any cuter than that?!
Love both yours and Cher's pink and blue outfits. It's so bright and lovely. I'm also nuts about the orange lining on your blazer–eek! Do you think you'll be wearing the blazer into fall?

LOVE the Zara blazer! I was in the store a few weeks ago and their blazers fit so nicely! I thrifted a pink blazer that I'm pretty proud of and am thinking about getting it more tailored to look like the Zara blazer.
I love the color of your blazer, it looks so great with your cobalt blue dress!

You just happened to in Union Square huh? Ha ha! Even thought you wanted the other blazer this one is very you. You are fantastic at working color into your wardrobe:-)
