We’ve been having a strangely rainy summer this year, and I’ve been sporting these rain boots on the regular lately!  The navy color makes them perfect for pairing with denim or even on their own.  They don’t ride as high up on my calves as my other Hunter or Joules rain boots and proportionally speaking, I find that they’re a bit more petite friendly.  I do wear mine with the 1.5″ Invisible Heels as they help the boots feel a bit more snug and I just like the additional lift!  While years ago I never would’ve believed you that I’d own a pair of Crocs, we’re actually a big Crocs family now as both my kids own their classic slip-on style and Kennedy has her Crocs rain boots too (currently on sale for $20!).  Be sure to use my code CUTE20 for 20% off sitewide!

The neckerchief trend is still going strong and this floral one from Urban Outfitters is seriously so pretty — perfect for adding that pop of color to a simple look!  I love it as an alternative to the typical statement necklace.  I’ve rounded up a few more options too if you’re looking, from the basic bandana to other pretty silky ones!

And while I try to keep this space of mine happy, I can’t help but admit that my heart is heavy this weekend.  I sat down to write this post on Thursday night and it was at that time that I heard about the Dallas shootings.  Now, two days later and I am still in shock at the events that have unfolded.  No words are enough and it hurts my heart to realize just how commonplace these kinds of news are becoming these days.  I can only hope that we can stand together and learn to love one another again.
