I received the CYBEX Balios Stroller and Aton Q Infant Car Seat to facilitate my review.

Picking the right car seat is one of the most important choices you can make as a parent. The CYBEX Aton Q car seat is one that has truly blown me away with its innovative safety designs. Specifically, the Aton Q is the only car seat I’ve seen with a unique telescopic Linear Side-Impact Protection (LSP) system. Two arms extend out from either side of the car seat and are designed to absorb crash force energy before it reaches the child and disperses it throughout the car seat. Similarly, there is a load leg that rests on the floor and this is a new feature designed to ensure that the seat remains upright even in a crash situation. Other nice-to-have features have an extra large canopy that extends to provide complete UV50+ sun protection even when I have the stroller directly facing the sun. It’s also lightweight and easy-to-carry (even for someone petite like me!) as it weighs only 9 pounds. And if any of you are travelers, the Aton Q is designed with European beltpath routing which allows it to be secured onto a seat even without a base (perfect for taxi rides!).
The Aton Q car seat locks into the Balios M stroller with adaptors and even though Kennedy has preferred to ride in the stroller seat instead, it has nonetheless still proved to be useful on those trips when she may have fallen asleep in her car seat and I don’t have to worry about transferring her from the car seat to the stroller (it’s not always successful and I just hate interrupting a good nap!).
For us, the debate on which stroller to use has always been a decision between something that can handle uneven terrains and something that’s lightweight and easy to use. One of the most unique features of the Balios M is that most of the features can be done with one hand, something that I have truly come to appreciate as it never seems like I have enough hands to take care of my kids already! Plus, the large rubber tires in the back allow for even the smoothest of rides even on bumpy paths (I’m looking at you, cobblestone!) and I love that there is an easy to access foot brake to lock everything in place when I need to transfer kids into and out of the stroller.
Meanwhile, we’ve been having a blast in our recent outings so far and stay tuned for more updates in a few weeks! You can find the CYBEX Balios M stroller and Aton Q car seat at your local Buy Buy Baby — it’s one of my favorite stores for as they have all the strollers there for you to test drive!
