Instagram pop-ups are the latest trend and I am here for it! The latest one just opened up in the Deep Ellum district of Dallas, called Museum of Memories, and this one may just be my new favorite. It’s all about nostalgic childhood experiences and there are over 20 different exhibits that invite you to put yourself into the art and take a selfie!
What we Liked about the Museum of Memories
Artwork
Every single piece of artwork in the Museum of Memories is hand-painted and illustrated by artist Steffi Lyn. It is beyond inspirational! Each of the 8 rooms is filled with bright colors, oversized props, and throwback pieces you’ll recognize as some of the best memories of your childhood!
Not only are all the displays interactive and immersive, but kids are welcome to come and play as well! I took Dylan and Mei with me; and while they may not have understood references such as the quote from Clueless, they were definitely living their best lives just having fun with all of the displays.
Interactive Displays
The giant bowl of cereal was a huge hit, and Dylan was even recognizing some of the cartoon picture references in the background — can you spot The Flinstones, Clifford The Big Red Dog, or Scooby Doo?
Monochromatic Rooms
In addition to the music and movie themed rooms, there were also three different monochromatic rooms that were so much fun! This pink / coral colored kitchen was a favorite with Mei especially.
Beat the summer heat and relive the best memories of your childhood at the Museum of Memories! Your Instagram feed will thank you. 😊

Now THIS is my kind of event! I live for pop-up places like this. Unfortunately, there is nowhere near as many over here in Australia, but I’m hoping they continue to pop up here and there. I’d visit this place in a heartbeat! There’s nothing I adore more than art and all the colours of the rainbow 😍 🙌 🌈
