Can you believe that Memorial Day is this coming weekend? It’s the last week of school for the kiddos and I can’t believe we’re about to unofficially kick off summer here! We enjoyed the most beautiful weather this past weekend but I know it’ll be in the 90s and 100s before I know it. I love wearing distressed white jeans when it’s hot out (although let’s be honest, I wear white jeans year round!) and I’ve been on the lookout for a new white distressed pair myself for awhile now. I kept seeing this pair from Articles of Society pop up on my Nordstrom recommended picks so I finally decided to give them a shot.. Verdict: I am in love!
My criteria for distressed white jeans had to meet 3 requirements: completely opaque, distressing that hit the knees, and mid-rise through the front. White jeans can be tricky as I’ve definitely tried on a few where the material was so thin that it seemed see-through — having the fabric be opaque was a big one for me. I also love the look of distressed white jeans but as someone who’s only 5′ tall, I constantly struggle with finding distressing that actually hits at my knees. And finally, I love the fit of a slightly higher rise; I just don’t want to fuss with having to worry about readjusting my pants when I sit down / stand up and I’ve found that a mid-rise fit is flattering and so much more wearable.
This pair from Articles of Society checked off all the boxes and they are hands-down my favorite pair of white jeans! The fabric is opaque and stretchy — I would actually recommend sizing down as it does give a little the more you wear it. I normally wear a size 25 in jeans and ended up going with a size 24 in these distressed white jeans. I actually feel like they could still use a good shrinking in the dryer too to give a more fitted look. Otherwise, the fit is flattering and at under $60, these jeans are a steal!
I’m also reviewing a few other pairs of distressed white jeans that I currently own and are still available to purchase so be sure to scroll below to check it out!

Distressed White Jeans Review
I wanted to share a review of the 3 different pairs of ripped white jeans that I own in case you’re in the market for one! I can definitely recommend all three of these styles although each one does have its pros / cons that I’ll be sharing with you all.
Articles of Society ‘Sarah’
This is the pair that I’m wearing above and am absolutely loving! These jeans are everything that I’m looking for when it comes to white jeans and I love that they’re slim-fitting without looking too tight. White jeans have a tendency to make you look bigger than you than you are so having a little extra wiggle room in the legs definitely help prevent the sausage look (or as my mom calls it, the “stuffed dumpling”!). The front pockets are also faux which I actually prefer as I don’t like the look of pocket linings showing through otherwise. The length is about 2″ long on me but the raw hem makes it an easy DIY cut job for making it just the right length! These jeans are borderline too low-cut for me but I haven’t had any need to readjust them while standing up / sitting down so they’re keepers!
J Brand ‘Demented’
This was my previous pair of distressed white jeans that I picked up a few years ago and wore all. the. time. This pair also checked off all the boxes for me but there were a few things that I started disliking more as I wore these jeans. The front pockets are functional and at times the pocket lining was visible from the front. I also felt like the jeans were just a little too tight for my preference and made me feel like my backside looked bigger than I wanted (probably just me being self-conscious!). I still would recommend this pair though and would say just to go up a size when ordering! See all the other instances I’ve worn these J Brand jeans here.
Rag and Bone ‘Skinny’
These are my non-distressed white skinny jeans and I’m a bit on the fence about this pair, honestly. Rag and Bone jeans are some of my favorite as I love the fit and the way they suck me in. But, the zipper on these jeans is a surprising black color that can be quite distracting if ever it’s exposed. Maybe it’s just a problem specific to me? You can see the other ways that I’ve styled the Rag and Bone white jeans here!
Anyways, I hope you found this helpful and pick up a pair of white jeans for the summer! I’m off on an early flight to Kauai for a much-needed vacation. 🙂 Be sure to check Instagram for the latest updates and come back tomorrow for my first post from the island!

I have a few pairs of white denim and usually I love Rag and Bone, but my white pair are awful. I had to go down two sizes and they still stretch out. I love the pair you are wearing in your top look. They fit you and look amazing. Your top is so pretty too!

oh how weird that your Rag & Bone jeans are stretching out on you! I’ve had really good luck with mine always staying the same when it comes to fit… the Articles of Society pair does stretch out a bit too and I’ve had to shrink them in the dryer again after wearing a couple times.
Those are just the right amount of distressing! They look perfect on you. I love JBrand jeans, but I do have size up on them. For the cost it surprises me that Rag&Bone would stretch that much. I like the ones you chose as your favorite the best!
