Fall Fashion from TJMaxx / Marshalls!

A few months ago, I was invited to experience the “Thrill of the Find” at my local TJMaxx store.  I was blown away at the incredible deals on current trend items that I found in the store!  Now that the weather is finally cooling down a bit, I wanted to share an exclusive sneak peak of some of the styles I found particularly eye-catching from their latest lookbook.

I’m loving the different style ideas and find these styles really wearable and chic.  These looks are getting me excited to dress for the cold weather already! 

And if you’re looking for some suggestions on the Do’s and Don’ts of Fall fashion, here are a few tips from the experts at TJMaxx / Marshalls that I found interesting. 

• Do pair an ankle bootie with any pair of (faux) leather shorts, a loose fitted long sleeved top and an oversize satchel.
• Do add a soft yet tailored touch to any pair of shorts, by adding a tweed jacket or sweater over a chiffon blouse with clay colored shorts and wedge pumps.
• Do mix it up with this Fall’s color palette! Berry colored shorts look great with a plaid top, camel colored jacket and a stacked heel.
• Do keep it feminine with a pair of black shorts, light color silk blouse and an animal print clutch.
• Do experiment and try the ethnic Aztec look! A pair of dark colored shorts (i.e. black or gray) looks great when paired with a zigzag knit jacket or sweater and moto booties.
• Don’t pair an over-the-knee boots with shorts, that’s so last year.  Rather this season try black tights with a pair of ankle booties!
• Don’t try adding plain tights under jean shorts; rather go for a trendier look with wool, plaid or houndstooth shorts.  {good thing I was good on this one!}
• Don’t go too short! “Booty” shorts are meant for Summer, not Fall.

• Do mix it up with by pairing black stockings with the rich jewel tones of the season. Berry colored skits/shorts and black tights look great with a plaid top, camel colored jacket and a stacked heel. • Do go for a more ‘60s inspired look. Try a pencil skirt with black fishnets and a tailored sweater for instant retro-glam.

• Do add black opaque tights to add sophistication to any pair of shorts of all textures and styles (especially menswear-style!).  With a loose fitted long sleeved top and an oversize satchel, it’s an effortlessly chic look.
• Do be sweetly sexy, with a pair of black paisley tights. Matched with a faux fur vest, leather mini skirt and statement bag, you’ll be boho chic in no time.

• Don’t pay too much for this “it” trend! Find everything you need to get the looks described above in T.J.Maxx and Marshalls.
