It’s Fall y’all, and I am 110% here for it! Decorating the house this time of year is my absolute favorite and I just love adding little touches to really get us into the Fall mood. I wanted to share a few peeks into updates I’ve made to our home to ring in the Fall season as well as provide 5 simple tips on how to decorate without breaking the bank!
1. Check Out The Craft Store
“Hey Pumpkin” doormat (18″x30″) | buffalo check mat
white crates | white faux pumpkins | similar orange pumpkins
faux flowers | metal bucket
The front porch is always my first place to decorate when it comes to changing seasons. Even as a kid, I loved seeing all the outdoor decor popping up in the neighborhood especially as we entered the holiday season. I love changing it up with a new doormat and how cute is this “Hey Pumpkin” one? I layered it over this buffalo check mat for some color and then headed to the craft store for almost everything else. So many cute finds and treasures at the craft store plus there’s almost always deals and sales happening to let you save a little extra!
2. Set The Mood With Candles
Trapp luxury candle | hexagonal marble couch tray | gray cheese tray | candle wick trimmer + snuffer set
There’s nothing better than a beautiful candle for getting into the Fall mood and I’ve been loving these beautifully-scented ones from Trapp. The ‘White Fir’ scent is perfect for this time of year with its Frasier fir, Balsam wood, and cool ozonic notes. The best part is that the scent actually fills up the room even when unlit. Adrian is especially sensitive to smells, and he even remarked that these are high-quality candles he wouldn’t mind having in more rooms of the house — will do! 🙂
Trapp luxury candles are all made with a soy-wax blend that allows for a cleaner burn with the 7 oz. candle giving an approximate burn time of 50 hours! I’ll definitely be taking advantage of their current promotion: buy 4 candles, get 1 free with code FALLTRAPP (valid until 12/31/2019). These make great gift ideas as well, as each candle comes packaged in a beautiful festive box! I’ll be picking up a few more of their seasonal offerings that include White Fir, Orange Clove, Holiday, Golden Cypress, Fireside Pumpkin (yum!), Hearth, and Lemon Sugar Cookie!
3. Rely On Nature
similar table runner | hurricane vases | mini vase filler pumpkins (white, orange)
cast metal pumpkins | small white ceramic pumpkins | large white ceramic pumpkin
Trapp luxury candle | gold pumpkin salt/pepper set
An easy way to add in seasonal decor without spending any money is just incorporating pieces from nature! For fall, I love adding in red berries, dried sticks, and colorful leaves to really add that authentic Fall feel. If you have young kids, it’s a great way to get them involved too and have them hunt for items for you!
4. Save With Faux
wooden serving bowl | orange mini pumpkins | pinecone vase filler
faux goldenrod plant | faux hops plant
Faux decor has come a long way in recent years and actually make a great investment as they’re a one-time purchase that you can reuse year after year! I especially make a point to stock up on mini faux plants as they’re perfect for sprinkling around the house and don’t require any watering either (I wish I had the green thumb that my mom has!).
5. Shop Your Closet
plaid blanket scarf | oversized green pillow | white chenille pillow
Remember that plaid blanket scarf you purchased last year? Have it pull double duty and use it as a couch throw! These add in great texture and color to your home decor and are a great way to get extra use of those accessories!
Don’t forget to check out Trapp and take advantage of their BUY 4, GET 1 FREE promotion — use code FALLTRAPP (valid until 12/31/2019)!
Their high-quality luxury candles make for perfect holiday gifts and are a great way to get your home decor ready for the new season!

Oh my, I love all of your decorating choices! Fall/autumn isn’t as big of a deal over here in Australia (plus it’s currently Spring here), but I just adore seeing how much other countries get really into whatever season it is, and I love all the gorgeous warm tones that come with fall 😍 I’m really liking the use of real pumpkins as decor, too. I might have to give that a go myself!
