I love the changing of the seasons as it always inspires me to try something different and make new memories with the family!  It’s no secret that Target runs happen weekly around here and our most recent trip ended up with great finds for everyone!  Read on to see the kitchen additions that got me inspired to cook up a delicious apple treat as well as Target’s new toy collection release that the kids cannot stop obsessing over!

Target Fall Essentials for your Home

For starters, can you even get over the matching mommy-and-me aprons?  I’m pretty basic when it comes to cooking in the kitchen, but you can bet that I’ll never pass up an opportunity to look a little extra!  Plus if it gets Mei excited to cook with me, it’s a win.

I had a craving for an apple crisp dessert and was happy to find all the ingredients I needed from Target’s Good & Gather line!  I especially love that the Good & Gather line focuses on high-quality ingredients without the artificial flavors, synthetic colors, artificial sweeteners and high fructose corn syrup that other brands sneak in.  The cost is also less than comparable brands so I end up saving money too!

I can be a bit particular when it comes to apples and my personal favorite has always been the Honeycrisp — it has the perfect balance of sweet and tart, while always having that crispy crunch even when baked.  Target’s Good & Gather actually offers a 3-lb bag of Honeycrisp apples as well as the other ingredients that I needed including rolled oats, cinnamon, coconut oil, and maple syrup.

The apple crisp came together beautifully and the whole house smelled delicious!  Our pie actually didn’t last longer than a week and all of us found ourselves sneaking a few extra bites throughout the day.  The granola-like streusel topping adds a crunch to this dessert that makes it distinct from your usual apple pie, and this apple crisp recipe has in fact already been put on request for Thanksgiving!

While food is admittedly my love language, my kids were more excited for Target’s latest Pokemon releases!

They’ve both been obsessed with playing and collecting all things Pokemon, so this Pokemon Bandolier Set was perfect for keeping them entertained.  Target will actually be commemorating the Pokemon 25th Anniversary with a few exclusive items, so you can bet that I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for some new Pokemon items hitting shelves soon!
