One of my favorite things about fall is the shoes! I’ve always been a shoe girl, and fall is the time of year when I really get to change up my style. And with kiddos, I love getting to shop for cute little mini shoes for them! For me, it’s all about boots. I kinda look forward all year to wearing my boots! Ankle boots, tall boots, over-the-knee boots, rain boots, and even cowboy boots—I have a mini love affair with boots!
Since my budget doesn’t quite keep up with my boot obsession, I’m always scoping out deals and looking for ways to save money while still getting my fashion fix. One place I make sure to check out is DSW, as they always have the latest styles and the brands I love for a bargain! When checking out their fall lineup, I loved this dark leather pair of ankle boots from Diba. The color is perfectly versatile with all of my fall outfits, and I love the zipper accent that gives it just a bit of edge! I can pair it with cuffed jeans, but my favorite is wearing it with a pretty dress!
Dylan was also in need of a nice pair of shoes for some of our upcoming holiday photos, and I was surprised to see that Sperry Top-Sider made their signature boat shoes in toddler and youth sizes! Even better was that even though they have the standard lanyard look, these shoes are actually tightened via a hidden Velcro closure underneath! Lace-up shoes always seem to get untied, and with these shoes, Dylan can practice putting on and taking off his shoes by himself!

Meanwhile, I’ve rounded up a few of my other favorites from DSW that are right on trend for this fall. I’m loving these tweed flats—they would add both texture and print to an outfit while still being perfectly work appropriate! And did you know Crocs makes rain boots? For the girls, you can’t go wrong with a pair of Chuck Taylors, but I’m personally wishing that Kennedy’s feet were big enough to fit into those leopard-print booties! But wouldn’t you know it, I did end up getting the Puma racer sneakers for Dylan—he calls them his cat shoes! 🙂
