This is the second post in my Fall trend series where I am collaborating with 5 other bloggers and taking on a weekly style challenge (check out last week’s take on leather if you missed it!). This week’s theme was to dress in monochromatic colors!
I’m all for incorporating colors in my daily looks but every now and then it’s fun to change it up and sport something monochromatic. Blue is one of my favorite colors and I think it works particularly well against more fair skin tones. Pantone also chose “dazzling blue” as the top spring color of 2014, and so for my look today I paired together various shades of this beautiful color.
We had a rare warm couple of days where the temperatures actually reached the 80s again and it was nice to have a last hurrah for some summer items that didn’t get enough wear. This striped shirt was actually one of the first purchases I made post-baby as the loose flowy fabric was forgiving and comfortable. After several months of wearing it nonstop, it’s since been gradually pushed to the back of my closet as my body started returning back to its previous shape and I had more clothing options available. And so when I was rummaging through looking for monochromatic pieces, it was nice to resurrect this old favorite once again!

Such a lovely monochrome blue outfit! 🙂

You look very pretty in blue. Love the cut of your skirt. It's different than a pencil skirt.
