Happy Friday!!  This week has felt so long and so short at the same time.  Lots of it has gone into catching up at home and work after last week’s crazy Texas storm, but thankfully it seems like we’re basically back to normal around here.  I’m excited for the weekend as the weather is starting to warm up (despite a forecast of lots of rain…) and we’re already planning for our usual sushi date night tonight!

It’s coming up on the 1 year mark of working from home and it’s crazy to think how much has changed in the last year.  There have been both pros and cons to the change but definitely one of the pros is having the freedom to wear more comfy clothes on a regular basis!  I live in loungewear these days and my go-to is always work from home leggings, a sweater or tee, and topped with a cardigan.

Work From Home Leggings

I picked up these LOFT leggings a few weeks ago and I have been loving them!  I live by a good high-waisted pant to feel supported and these have the perfect amount of compression without being too restrictive.  The “sculpt” refers to the wide waistband and if you’ve ever had issues with waistbands rolling down on you, these leggings will be your new best friend!

As someone who’s also always had super short legs, the ankle inseam of 23 1/2″ is perfect so that I don’t have to roll the hem under or alter in any way off the rack.  The tapered leg and slim ankle opening also create a sleek leg line, perfect for pairing with sneakers for going out or slippers for around the house!

Meanwhile this cardigan is so good, you guys.  If you’ve ever just wanted a cozy blanket to wrap around you while you work, this cardigan is the one!  I love the longer length and it’s the perfect combination of casual yet still elevated.  There are side slits that give it a bit of style and the roomy pockets in the front are great for stashing goodies when you’re on mom duty!  I would say the fit is oversized — I’m wearing my usual XS but would recommend sizing down for a more fitted look.
