“When in doubt, belt it.” This is basically a motto that I live by in my daily outfit choices. I love the lace overlay details on this cardigan (and it was on sale too!) but when paired over the fitted top and skirt, it made the whole outfit look disproportionate and almost even frumpy. There was definitely no frumpiness that I was going to allow, so what did I do? Yup, I belted the cardigan.
A black skinny belt would’ve probably been the obvious choice for skinny belt, but the outfit was lacking some color. And being the color lover that I am, I decided to add in a color from left field: coral. The coral definitely adds some unexpected visual interest to the whole look. It somehow makes you look a few seconds longer at the outfit to decide whether or not you like it. My verdict: me likey!
And I got out of scuba class early today. Bedtime! 🙂

That is, indeed, a very nice cardigan. I think it was a great idea to belt it and give this outfit the extra oomph by adding coral to it. Subtle yet suitable.

I agree, a belt can definitely do wonders to an oufit. I like that you chose a colored belt. 🙂 I'm also lovin' the lace cardi. The shoes are cute too, but I see that they're from F21. Are they comfy? I've never bought any F21 shoes, cause I feel like they might hurt my feet! heheh

These shoes are a 5/10 as far as comfort goes. I have pretty tough feet and don't walk much for my job, so it's not a problem, but I wouldn't recommend F21 shoes to anyone. Not worth it! I've learned my lesson with F21 shoes!

that cardigan is super duper pretty!!! and i love how that belt adds the right amount of pop. my motto, too, is "when in doubt, belt it!" (though half the time, i end up belting EVERYTHING. hah)

i agree…i love the coral. it's refreshing among the neutrals. i totally have to get a few more pencil skirts for the work wardrobe, but they never fit me and i don't have a tailor!!

as for a new blog banner, i don't know of any sites unfortunately. i just
designed mine in Photoshop and it's super simple with just some basic text.

lol, i think my only trick is that i take lots of pictures to make up for
all the bad ones. out of 40-50 pictures, i find 4-5 pictures that are
actually decent. there are plenty of bad pictures in that batch!

Thanks I actually have photoshop but it's soo confusing but guess now that I know that's what you used I will have to give to take a crack at it! & Wow that's a lot of pictures my hubby gets tired after about 15 lol so I feel like I might need to get a tripod so I can get some good pictures!
