Holiday Makeup: Naughty + Nice

By now, I’m sure your holiday calendar is getting filled! I wanted to share two holiday makeup looks for those get-togethers that will be sure to get you noticed!

To create these looks, I stopped by Target to get some suggestions from the Beauty Concierge first. I wanted two holiday makeup looks — one naughty and one nice! Turns out, Maybelline has two All-in-1 Makeup Kits that were exactly what I wanted! Each kit includes four eye shadows, blush, eyeliner pencil, lip gloss, and even a highlight. There’s also a handy card providing suggestions on how to recreate the cover look!

I started off with the “nice” look. The Gilded in Gold kit is perfect for that holiday look including glossy red lips and shimmery eye shadow. I loved the combination of nude and gold eye shadows and I found the colors to have gorgeous payoff! The red lip gloss is also super moisturizing and is wearable even for those who are new to bold lipsticks — it applies sheer but is easily buildable for something bolder!  I love the way this holiday makeup look turned out, and it would be perfect for those holiday work parties or family get-togethers!

And now for a fun “naughty”holiday makeup look! The Up In Smoke kit has everything you need for a smoky eye/nude lip look that is perfect for a night out on the town or a party with friends! While I was a bit wary of the dark eye shadow colors at first, the colors are super blendable and everything really came together at the end.  (Don’t be scared of how it looks while you’re working. I promise the finished result will amaze you!)
