I’ll take a fun, whimsical print any day and this pretty hot air balloon print dress was just the perfect thing for a day at with the family. This dress was a rare overstock item that was left behind and while it is a whole size too big on me, I decided that I had to make it work! The waist of the dress was quite roomy on me and actually fell a little bit below my natural waistline, but I tucked a bit of the fabric underneath, safety pinned it in place, and then added a belt to hide the maneuvering. With just a little waist definition, the dress instantly took its shape and it was twirly love at first sight!
Adrian fired up the grill today and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect to spend a lazy Sunday outdoors. I shared a few bites of my steak dinner with Dylan and watched him enjoy chomping into his first corn on the cob. Life has been a blur lately (so many things to do, never enough time! and will this house ever be clean?) but today it seemed like we deliberately slowed it down. With everything being closed for Easter Sunday and the weather being absolutely beautiful, we had no reason to run around town trying to take care of errands. Instead, we just sat, talked, and enjoyed being a little family. It was a good reminder that we need to slow down more often.
Hope you had a great one!
[Update]: Thanks for all the positive responses on the hair style! It’s so easy and there’s no braiding required. I’ll post a tutorial of this look soon so stay tuned! 🙂
