Hot Pink

Now that it’s February, I’m getting into the Valentine’s Day spirit and putting on all the shades of pink and red!  I love spicing up an outfit with a fun pair of shoes and was instantly smitten with these pink slingback pumps.  The fuchsia color is a bit more toned down than your typical pink and the pointed toe makes for a classic silhouette.  I kept the rest of the outfit simple with a graphic tee and jeans, but topped it off with a hot pink blazer to make it fun and festive!

You can tell from these pictures that I still have a bit of mommy tummy left, but it’s going away slowly but surely.  It took me forever to get back in shape the first time around since I had a high-risk pregnancy that required me to stay virtually on bed rest.  But since I didn’t have any complications this time and was able to stay active all the way to the end, it’s made my recovery so much easier! Now, I’ve just been challenging myself with daily plank exercises to tone my mid-section — not pushing it too hard yet but even the static hold has been a good endurance builder (I’m up to just over 2 minutes now!).
