High-waisted pants are back and it’s a trend I’ve been loving at the moment! When done right, high-waisted pants like these paperbag waist pants are ideal for accentuating an hourglass shape and creating the illusion of legs for days. You’ve probably noticed that I’m obsessed with culottes lately given my recent outfits here, here, and here but it’s a style that is comfy and so easy to wear. When I noticed this pair of culottes with the addition of the paperbag waist, well, I just couldn’t say no!
It’s interesting how styles come back after a few years and for long-time readers of my blog, you may remember when I first styled paperbag waist pants over 6 years ago! I love that these paperbag waist pants can be dressed up or down and pair easily even with a pair of mule flats. The paperbag waist plus bow tie finish give it a polished finish plus I just love the feminine touch that it adds to counter the more masculine wide-leg silhouette. Plus, paperbag pants are super flattering especially for concealing tummy trouble areas as it cinches in at the smallest part of your waist!

Meanwhile if you haven’t picked up a pair of leopard shoes yet, you need to! The leopard print seriously goes with everything and is such a fun yet sophisticated way to add in a pop of print. I just purchased a back-up pair of leopard pumps after misplacing mine and am in love with these lace-up flats too!

While I’m not a fan of culottes, I do love the paperbag waist! I like that the trend is back, although it makes me miss the paperbag waist shorts I had years ago which I stupidly donated. They were awesome!
