Adrian and I went down to Austin yesterday for wedding #5 of this year {I feel like all of our friends are getting married this year!}. I hadn’t planned on getting a new dress for the occasion, but when I stopped into Forever 21 yesterday after returning my failed Zara purchase, I couldn’t help but fall in love with this lace and pleats mustard dress. I’m always on the lookout for Forever 21 pieces that look higher-end and this one definitely fit the bill. When someone asked me at the wedding where I got my dress, they were so surprised to learn that it was from Forever 21 — and only $23 too! The best part is that this dress can be styled separately — the lace top can be folded down into the skirt without a problem and now you have a new pleated mustard skirt to wear. Major score.
The wedding yesterday was absolutely beautiful and I have a new love for fall weddings — the cooler weather makes for perfect outdoor celebrations and the rich autumn colors are unbeatable. And while I’m off to recover from our late night of partying followed by another tiring 3-hour car drive home this morning, I’ll leave you with a little picture of me with the hubby. Apparently I need to start shopping at Forever 21 again! You are such a great dresser – this is perfect for you body and again makes you look tall! 🙂 I love the colors – gorgeous for fall. And I'm in the same place as you – ALL my friends are getting married/having babies! Crazy!
the skirt is not lined unfortunately so you do have to be a bit more careful while wearing it. but i've been wanting a mustard skirt as well so i can't wait to style it that way!

Kileen! I bought that dress too! I bought it online when I bought my leopard heels and was a little unsure about the quality, but when I got it, I LOVED it! I was thinking about how versatile this dress would be too. It's SO flattering on. I've tried to stay away from tube tops lately, but the strechiness of the lace doesn't cut off my chest like most tube tops do.
I agree that I have to be careful with most tube tops cause i also have broad shoulders but this dress is super flattering! i can't wait to see you style it too! btw, i'm LOVING your leopard print heels.
