The weekend couldn’t come soon enough this week! A few days ago, Adrian, Dylan, and even our nanny were hit by a bad bug that had everyone in bed with a fever and an upset stomach. Somehow I managed to escape this one but it’s been a rough couple of days taking care of my boys. I’m hoping that the worst is finally past and that we can enjoy a beautiful weekend of 80-degree weather! It’s actually Adrian’s birthday weekend and we have a little Easter egg hunt planned for Dylan tomorrow too. We’ve been teaching him about bunnies and eggs lately so he’s been really excited every time he sees those plastic eggs whenever we’re out and about. I can’t wait to see his reaction when he gets to collect a basket full!
I really like the look of this contrast leather sleeve moto jacket, but when trying to figure out an outfit for it, I found it a bit tricky. The light khaki color didn’t seem to complement my skin tone and instead was making me look really ashy and washed out. Then, I remembered that in my post a couple days ago, a few of you mentioned that you also had a hard time wearing yellow. A tip that I recommended was to pair the tricky color with a color that does flatter your skin tone. For me, rich jewel tones seem to stand out nicely against my pale skin, so I took a bit of my own advice and layered the jacket over this vibrant berry-colored shirt. I think the contrast really made the jacket more wearable and the longer layer underneath created the illusion of a more elongated torso! #bonuspoints
