Light It Up

We like to keep our weekends pretty low key around here.  Our weekdays are pretty hectic so it’s a much-needed change of pace to have a couple of days where we just go with the flow and have wide-open schedules.  One of our favorite activities is to go to the park and I love that we live just a few houses up from the local one in our neighborhood.  While I spent the majority of the morning unpacking yesterday from our week-long vacation and trying to get the house back in order, the kids were ready for some outdoor time so I had them strap on their shoes and head out for a little fresh air!  Can you tell that Dylan was already eyeing that park?

As we’ve been getting the kiddos ready to start school, a pair of sturdy shoes that could withstand some rough play time has been something Dylan has needed.  When he took these Stride Rite Leepz shoes out of the box, the first thing he noticed was that they light up!  I don’t know what it is about light-up shoes, but it gets Dylan excited like nothing else!  He was literally jumping down the street in his new shoes as we walked over to the park!
