LOFT Sale – 50% Off: Dressing Room Review

LOFT just announced a huge surprise 50% off LOFT sale with free shipping (code SURPRISE)!!  You guys, this discount is as good as it gets (it has been the Black Friday promotion in years past!) so you definitely need to take advantage of this LOFT sale and snag all those cute fall pieces!  I popped into the store yesterday just in time to try on a few pieces and hopefully share some of my favorites to help you shop.  I’ll be posting video try-ons on my Instastories as well if you’d like to pop over and check it out!

For reference, I’m 5′ tall, 108 lbs and and normally take a size XXSP / XSP in tops and a size 0P in bottoms.  I’ve noticed lately that size XXSP has been fitting better in tops and dresses lately (and fellow LOFT enthusiast Jess from WhatJessWore seemed to share the same sentiment too).

Fall Floral Utility Blouse $59.50 $29.75 + Zip Pocket Skirt $69.50 $34.75

Zip Pocket Skirt $69.50 $34.75 (wearing 0) – Mini A-line skirts are trending right now and I love the pretty rustic red color of this one.  The material is a thick ponte material that has quite a bit of stretch and best part is that it’s wrinkle-free too (great for travel!).  This skirt would be so cute dressed up for work with pair of heels or dressed down for the weekend with mules (I just picked up this pair in the wheat leather), booties, or even over-the-knee boots.  The style does seem to run a little big as I’m wearing a size 0 and have lots of extra room in the waist.  I’m also loving this similar skirt and I can’t ever say no to stripes!

Fall Floral Utility Blouse $59.50 $29.75 (wearing XXSP) –  How gorgeous is this floral top?  I’ve been eyeing it for a few weeks now and am so in love with the dark green color paired with pops of orange and pink rose blossoms and am so happy that it’s part of the LOFT sale!  The fabric is sheer although I’m wearing it with a nude bra here and honestly didn’t think it was too bad.  I would recommend pairing it with a cami underneath (I love the racerback style of this one although I also own this one if you want something to help suck you in!).  I think sizing does run a little big as the XXSP fit me perfectly.  This blouse is a steal at under $30!

 

Autumn Dream Henley Blouse $59.50 $29.75 + Modern Skinny Jeans $69.50 $34.75

Autumn Dream Henley Blouse $59.50 $29.75 (wearing XSP) – I’m kinda obsessed with this autumn dream print and how the colors just pop (I own the dress version already and LOVE it — see on me).  I love the contrast fabric down the center front and along the top of the back, especially when paired with the subtle pleated details!  The shirt drapes so effortlessly and can be easily dressed up or down.  The back does run longer than the front, making it a great piece to wear with leggings as it would cover the butt.  I would say that this top runs a little big as I’m wearing a size XSP and could have probably sized down to a XXSP.

Modern Skinny Jeans $69.50 $34.75 (wearing 25 / 0P) – Colored pants are one of my favorite way to change up my jeans look and I fell in love with the pretty pink color of this pair.  The fabric is super soft and stretchy with a petite-friendly 26 1/2″ inseam (although I still have it cuffed under about 1″ here).  The fit is incredibly flattering and I kinda think I need them in every color — the olive autumn sage shade looks so perfect for fall!

Floral Embroidered Bell Sleeve Sweater $69.50 $34.75 (wearing XXSP) – The embroidery on this sweater is absolutely gorgeous and it was one of the first pieces I noticed when LOFT released their new arrivals a couple weeks ago.  I love how the red, pink, and white flowers pop against the neutral grey and the sweater has such a flattering slim fit.  The bell sleeves aren’t too big and this sweater would be a great way to rock the trend even at work!  I would say sizing runs true-to-size to a little small as I’m wearing a XXSP but a XSP probably would have worked better.

Modern Marisa Trousers w/ Button Pockets $79.50 $39.75 (wearing 00P) – Can you guys tell I’m loving this burgundy red this season?  The Marisa pants at LOFT are some of my favorites as they fit so well throughout the hips and butt.  The petite sizes run shorter with a 29 1/2″ inseam, making them perfect paired with a 3-4″ heel while the regular sizing comes with a 32″ inseam.

Spiced Stripe Flounce Shirt Dress $89.50 $44.75 (wearing XXS) – I’ve talked about how much I love the drop-waist trend that’s happening now and couldn’t wait to try on this dress!  Funny enough I actually had a co-worker show this dress to me on her computer and tell me how it would look good on me!  I love the stripes and the sleeve ties are such a chic addition.  I’m wearing the regular size XXS here and would say that sizing runs big as I most likely need the XXSP.

Fantasy Floral Tie Cuff Mixed Media Sweater $59.50 $29.75 (wearing XSP) – I love rich purple colors for fall and this one has such a pretty contrast with the floral print!  I love the faux layered look as it’s so much easier to wear and doesn’t have all the bulk.  The sleeve ties are also such a cute addition and really set it apart.  I’m wearing a XSP which I feel like is good for me as I have more muscular arms, but if you don’t have the same problem, I would suggest sizing down.

Garden Party Blouse $59.50 $29.75 (wearing XSP) – LOFT is killing it with their prints lately and I love the mix of delicate florals and ruffles.  The v-neck henley style is super flattering and this top has the cutest bell sleeves too.  The cuffs are elastic, so if you have trouble with sleeves being too long like I do, this blouse is a great option!  I’m wearing an XSP here and way say that sizing could go both ways — if you’re in-between like me, size down for a slimmer fit or go up if you prefer it to look blousier.

Seamed Belted Cardigan $59.50 $29.75 (wearing XXSP) – I always have a cardigan handy when I’m in the office and this one has a great petite-friendly fit plus I love the option to tie it together for a look that’s more tailored.  There are slits on the sides which I find make this cardigan slimming and great paired with blousier tops or dresses.  This cardigan comes in 3 colors and I love the mauve rose too for fall!  I’m wearing an XXSP here and would suggest sizing down.

Market Jacket $98 $49

Market Jacket $98 $49 (wearing XSP) – Utility jackets are one of my favorite ways to layer and I’m always searching for petite-friendly options.  This one is the perfect olive green color and fits great through the shoulders through the top of the hips and is part of this awesome LOFT sale.  There is a middle band that wraps around the back and gives the jacket a feminine fitted look that is hard to find with utility jackets.  I typically wear my jackets with the sleeves cuffed just a bit to give it a more casual look and this one pulls off that style perfectly!  I sized up so that it could layer over sweaters without being too tight in the arms and would highly recommend this jacket!

Leggings in Seamed Ponte $49.50 $24.75 (wearing XSP) – I had my eye on these leggings from last year but unfortunately they sold out of my size.  I couldn’t have been happier to find these at my store yesterday and I have no doubt I will be living in these leggings this fall / winter!  They are super soft, petite-friendly in length, and make your legs look so slim!  The mid-rise makes them comfortable and versatile to wear with everything.  I’m wearing a XSP here and would say they’re true-to-size.

Express Lace-Up Tank $30.99 $12.40 (wearing XS) – This lace-up top isn’t part of the LOFT sale but it’s marked down now for only $12.40!!  I got so many compliments on it yesterday and it’s such a cute top layered until a cardigan!  And in case you’re wondering, it’s not too low cut that I couldn’t wear it with a strapless bra.
