One of my favorite colors is taupe. It’s just such a beautiful neutral color that looks good on everyone and has a classy appeal to it. The challenge, though, is to make taupe not look boring. And so I do what I do best, punch it up with brights!
And I also totally went over my May budget and bought this bag from Forever 21 this past weekend. It’s like a Mulberry Alexa for only $32.80!! I love the shape of the bag and it has so many pockets inside too. The leather is also super soft and, while it kinda smelled when I first bought it, it has since gone away and it’s perfect. I’m actually debating even taking it on safari with me to Africa since it fits everything (including my big DSLR) perfectly.

that bag does look just like the ps1/ mulberry alexa. could you give an update in a bit as to how it holds up? you look so lovely 🙂 i have that loft sweater and was wondering if it would look ok tucked in under a skirt, and it most definitely does.

yes, i will definitely give an update, although it will probably be by the
time the bag sells out. I'm leaving for vacation on Friday and won't be
back until June 18. Since I bought the bag on Friday though, it's stood up
amazingly well!

I think bag smells are pretty much a norm for faux-leather (?) bags. There was a PS1 lookalike I considered, but the smell was pretty strong, so I passed. I'm so glad that you were able to air out your new satchel because it's a lovely bag. I say yes to taking it on your African trip but perhaps add some padding inside to protect your camera. new lens for our trip. so i'll probably just stick to taking my backpack.

I was skeptical that taupe could be saucy but boy did you prove me wrong! I would totally take the bag on the safari trip! Like you said it holds a lot and it was under $40 so if you can't ever get the sand out of it, it will be a small not major thing.
