Remember when I was freaking out about travelling with Dylan? Well, everything worked out great! We ended up going to Buy Buy Baby at the last minute and bought ourselves a lightweight umbrella stroller (our only other stroller is a huge jogging one). Lifesaver, to say the least. I nursed Dylan during take-off and landing so thank goodness he didn’t have any ear pressure problems. The flight was actually timed during his morning nap, but with all the excitement on-board, he ended up playing happily in my lap the entire time. I was so glad I didn’t have to dole out earplugs to our neighboring passengers that I figured a skipped nap was a decent trade-off.
Our night ended with a surprise cake celebration for my baby 1-year Dylan’s birthday which was the day before. I couldn’t believe the incredibly thoughtful gesture. As I went to sleep with the sound of fireworks exploding in the background, my heart was bursting with happiness. Despite all of fears of a stressful trip with a baby, this trip has turned out to be one that I will cherish forever.
