It’s an incredible experience watching my baby boy grow up before my eyes. As we enter into toddlerhood with Dylan, I can see him starting to fit things together and understand the world around him.
The milestones are coming one right after another these days. A couple weeks ago he figured out how to drink from a straw (green smoothies are so much easier to share now), last weekend he learned to stack blocks, and let’s not forget that just a few days ago he started walking everywhere too!
Dylan has also learned to say a few words here and there. He says “mum” whenever he’s looking for me and “up” when he wants to be picked up. On those days when I come home from work tired and stressed, his sweet little voice reminds me that everything that really matters is right here in front of me. Part of me wants to hold him as my little baby forever, but then I hear his excited little shriek as he sees a squirrel out the window, and I know that the world is out there for him to explore. I love having this beautiful “D” necklace that I can wear next my heart. I’ll always have my baby D.

P.S. In case you missed it:
- Cobalt, Mustard, & Stripes – Remixing my striped skirt.
Aww, that is so sweet! It is always amazing how quickly time passes, and how you can not do a thing about it.
Love your cute striped tee and leopard mix!
Oh I do hope you are cherishing those moments! Before you blink he will be a teenager like my oldest and you will be lucky if he ever wants to hang out with you at all!
such a precious post. 🙂 also love your striped tee – currently obsessed with stripes!
This was so beautiful.
