Hello! What a week it’s been and I can’t believe it’s already Thursday! We’ve had the most beautiful weather this week where it’s been sunny but not too hot and with a light breeze that’s been most refreshing. It’s been perfect for some light layers and I couldn’t wait to wear this pretty poncho top from Evy’s Tree. I absolutely fell in love with the beautiful floral embroidery and the rayon fabric is super soft and airy, making it a perfect piece for spring!
Ponchos can be a real statement piece to wear but I’ll admit I was a bit intimidated by the style when it first hit the fashion scene. Given that most ponchos are one-size-fits-all, they can easily be quite over-sized on a petite frame. My simple trick for how to wear ponchos? Accentuate that waistline. Whether it’s by tucking in the front of the poncho so that the waistline is visible or by belting the poncho around the waist — you want to create a bit of that hourglass shape so that you’re not drowning in fabric.
My recommendation on how to wear ponchos would be that for lightweight fabric ponchos, experiment with tucking it in first! I like tucking in the poncho just a bit at the center and letting the sides hang free. The outfit still has that flowy, boho vibe and it doesn’t feel quite so overwhelming anymore!
For ponchos that are of a thicker fabric where tucking in would create excess bulk, I would add a belt instead. Cinch the poncho around the waist and arrange the fabric so that it’s not bunched up anywhere, and you’ll create an outfit that has instant curve appeal!

On a different note, how gorgeous is this knot bracelet? It’s from the Endo Co collection with Motif and their are working to help drive attention and increase funding for endometriosis — 30% of all proceeds are donated to support the cause! I personally have friends who have had to deal with endometriosis and so I’m glad that it’s something that is getting more visibility.

I was just looking at this poncho the other day and while I loved it, I wasn’t sure how to wear it without looking a little boxy! You styled it to perfection by tucking it in! I’ve never thought to wear a poncho for spring, but with that cult favorite bag (no pun intended hehe) and the perfect wedges, you’re good to go!

I prefer not to wear this native Indian style poncho is public casuals; I literally prefer a cotton blazer: https://safyd.com/product/womens-harley-quinn-red-satin-blazer/ with tulle sleeves to look somehow bohemian yet classy
