Anyone else feel the struggle with trying to keep a clean house? For over 5 years now, I’ve had a Roomba vacuum robot that I’ve relied on for picking up the dust balls and random bits of food dropped on the floors around my house. Previously I had my Roomba programmed to run daily once I left the house for work and it would be so satisfying to come home and see just how much gunk it had picked up. But, now that I’ve been working from home this past year, I couldn’t have the Roomba running while I worked: 1). it was too noisy and 2). even if I did let it run, it would take foreverrrr and the constant loud noise would end up giving me a headache. So, for a good part of this last year, we had some pretty dirty floors… But omg, then I heard about the Narwal robot vacuum!
Narwal Robot Vacuum
About 2 months ago I read about Narwal as it is the world’s first self-cleaning robot mop and vacuum. Narwal has been featured almost everywhere — awarded “Best of CES 2019”, featured on TechHive, and even reviewed on Reddit. There is no shortage of awards so you can imagine my excitement as I have been able to test out the latest Narwal T10 to review!
First let’s just talk aesthetics. How beautiful is the Narwal? I love the sleek base station design as well as the clean white colorway of the device, making it an addition to our home decor that I don’t feel the need to hide. Setup of the Narwal T10 was also super easy as I just downloaded the app, connected the device to our wifi, and off it went to create the initial map of our home!
Self-Cleaning Mop
The Narwal is truly a 2-in-1 robot mop and vacuum. On the bottom of the unit, there are slots where the two microfiber mop pads are inserted. While running the Narwal in mop mode, the mop pads rotate at high speed (180/rpm) while applying a 10N force tight against the floor so that even the most stubborn stains are cleaned up. I literally watched as the Narwal mopped up dried-on apple juice stains from our wood floors like it was nothing!
The Narwal is unique in that it has a self-cleaning feature so that you never have to lift a finger once the mopping has started! The Narwal base station encloses a 2-bucket system — one bucket for clean water and another bucket for dirty. Before using, I fill up the clean water reservoir, drop in a Narwal detergent sheet to dissolve, and that’s it! There’s a built-in spray and washboard so that the mop pads are able to actually to self-clean.
I was actually blown away to see that the Narwal actually sensed when the mop pads needed washing and would automatically return to the base station when needed. The dirty water reservoir shown above tells all — it’s like peeling off a used nose strip and seeing all the gunk it’s removed. Every time I’m shocked at just how dirty our floors were, and I actually feel like our floors look a whole shade lighter now that the Narwal is consistently mopping!
And just to show that Narwal really thought of everything:
- mopping starts at the farthest distance from the base station to avoid dirty mops covering already-cleaned floors.
- the base station is designed with a ventilation system. This ensures that the mop will fully dry when the mopping is completed to prevent any potential for bacteria that might breed.
Intelligent Quiet Vacuum
I also have been back to daily vacuuming thanks to the Narwal. First things first, the suction on the Narwal is incredibly strong with its 1800Pa motor but I especially love that it’s super quiet (only 45 decibels — about the noise level of a fridge). I’ve run the Narwal during virtual meetings at home and even when the whole house is sleeping! It’s literally quiet enough that I’ve watched it clean under my kids’ beds without stirring them from their sleep at all!
Another point to mention is that I find the Narwal to be much smarter when it comes to navigating around random furniture and such when it’s cleaning. Narwal uses Lidar Navigation Technology to actually learn an environment and optimize its cleaning and I find that it picks up my floors so much better!
Thank you to Narwal for providing me with a Narwal for review purposes! All opinions are honest and my own.

When it comes to cleaning, robot mop cleaners that can be washed are a must.
It’s my opinion that this is the most incredible collection of cleaning robots currently available.
A unique robot mop cleaner is accessible at a reasonable cost.
Cleaning robots, as stated by the author, are very effective. All of our relatives’ floors are now cleaned exclusively by these cleaning robots. A broad range of robot mop models is currently on the market, each with its own unique set of features, such as voice control and automated recharging. Robot mops are becoming more popular.
Since these robot mop cleaners are the quietest I’ve ever used, I have no qualms about recommending them.

When there are carpets in the house, cleaning becomes a little more difficult. The carpet gives the room a homely feel and creates a comfortable atmosphere. During use, the condition of the carpet deteriorates, stains appear on it, it darkens and loses its original appearance. To prevent this from happening, you should start cleaning the carpet, you can always find help with this here https://www.ftworthcarpetcleaning.com

it will be interesting to see how autonomous cleaning robots integrate more advanced capabilities. With improved navigation and planning skills, they could not only vacuum effectively but also organize and optimize their work. Smarter voice control and human-like conversation could make interacting with cleaning robots more intuitive too. Exciting to think where product improvements empowered by AI could take the user experience. Experience Ai technology completely free with ChatGPT
