Our mini cool front that we had last week has passed and we’re back to hot almost 90 degree temps again. Every year around this time I get a bit anxious to start dressing in Fall layers, only to then remember not to get ahead of myself and to dress for the actual weather that we’re having. Sweaters and puffer vests just don’t make sense when you’ve still got the air conditioning running. And so, I’m compromising with my outfit choices and choosing lightweight pieces but in darker Fall colors.
Navy blue, chocolate brown, and gold are classic Fall/Winter hues, and I love how the colors combined in this outfit to make it Fall appropriate yet still light enough to wear in the Texas heat. Meanwhile, the forecast does say that the high is only 75 for this Saturday… Is that puffer vest weather? 😉

Thank you, Sandy! 🙂
I am a summer girl through and through. While layers are fun, the aspect of freezing my toosh off for more than half of the year keeps my anxiety about layers at bay. In Colorado, though, it is hard to tell. It has been in the high 70's and will continue to be. Except Friday, when we are expecting snow.
ohmygoodness, snow already?!! wow, that's seriously cold weather!
The navy shirt is so nice with that striped skirt! 🙂

Great outfit! I've been wanting to get that Ann Taylor skirt ever since I saw it on Jean (extra petite).
A well-put together outfit. You have fantastic style. I like the chevron-printed shirt. I think there are way too many solid skirts lately, and this is refreshing.
Oh! 90-degree weather! I could only dream.

I agree, sometimes I have to do a reality check since we're still experiencing days with temperatures in the 80s even though it is already officially October. I love your classic color combo here, navy & gold is a classic combo 🙂
Love the chevron print of your skirt!
