Spring is that time of year when bright punches of color just seem to feel right. Neon yellow always gets my pick and it’s a color that perks me up just about every time. (Side tangent: I used to always think I couldn’t wear yellow being that I have yellow undertones. Thank goodness I decided that was a bunch of bunk! 🙂 I wanted something casual today and went with a sweater and cuffed jeans outfit. I happened to have picked up a scarf from Target a few weeks ago that coordinated perfectly into this look, so I played up the color-blocking and added cobalt blue pumps to finish it off.

Beautiful color combo! And you pull off yellow so well! I also feel like I can't wear it because of yellow undertones, but I wonder if the neon adds a touch of coolness…hm…I may need to reconsider. And that scarf is perfect. Always love a good Target find!

Thanks Candice! I think wearing yellow is just a matter of finding the right shade and/or pairing it with shades that will complement our skin tone. For me, I find that jewel tones seem to work well so here I paired the lighter yellow with darker blue and orange/red tones… Hope that helps! 🙂

Hi Gina! I mentioned this in another comment response, but the trick I have for wearing yellow is actually pairing it with a jewel tone. The rich jewel colors like cobalt, amethyst, emerald, etc seem to really work well with my yellow undertones so when I pair that with the yellow, it seems to balance it out! I hope that helps! 🙂
